Have visited the Glass House several times and never been disappointed. Delicious home made cakes and very generous size scones with large pots of jam and cream provided. Love the china cups and quirky decor. Friendly service great value - recommended.

My husband and I visited the Rayne station cafe today for lunch, we both choose the ploughmanâs board which was a big mistake.The ploughmanâs was a pork pie which was definitely a cheap value pie, as was the Brie cheese, the ham was very fatty and was grey!!The chutney was actually piccalilli!! The bread was normal cheap brown bread.The whole lunch was disgusting with cheap food.Would definitely not recommend the ploughmanâs!!

We came across this café purely by chance while cycling Route 16 through Dunmow. We were very pleasantly surprised to find great café food. We had tea and coffee with a tuna baguette with salad and a bacon granary sandwich. Both were divine and very good value for money. The café was very clean and the staff friendly. This visit inspired me to be the first to review this lovely little hidden gem.Thank you very much for your review. Visited today with my daughters and itâs really great. All cakes are homemade, fantastic friendly service, lots of lovely touches with the art and activities, and the food menu looks tasty and reasonable.And itâs open on Sundays! Popped in on a Saturday morning half way round a 60 mile ride with a couple of friends. Friendly welcoming staff, good selection of tasty cakes a good size cups of coffee, they even filled our water bottles for us. They take card payment which is essential when you are not carrying cash on a bike ride. We will be certainly planning our routes in the future to take in this little gem again

After a very heavy drinking wedding the breakfast the next day is crucial. Welcoming friendly staff greet you and bring drinks, orange juice and coffee!!! Various breakfasts were consumed and all were greeted with a thumbs up. This is not a âGreasy Spoonâ, all breakfasts were well cooked with soft eggs and food aplenty. Loved it....
