Its Old City, one of the best-maintained in Switzerland, sits on a small rocky hill above the valley of the Sarine.

We visited this bar on a Sunday afternoon. The bar is nicely located in the pedestrian area of Fribourg. The terrace was crowded and so the service was a little bit slow. Unfortunately, the also ran out of half the snacks they normally offer.

C'est assez cocasse de manger dans un restaurant végétalien, dans une ancienne boucherie transformée en restaurant. D'ailleurs la reconversion est plutôt bien réussie, on ne s'en doute pas. Cette petite atmosphère bobo sympa, on adore ! Les plats étaient raffinés et les boissons originales. Le soir où nous sommes allés, un menu spécial 4 plats était concocté. Un régal du début jusqu'à la fin, en coup de cÅur les tourelles de tomates farcies aux herbes et noix de cajou, avec une touche de pesto marjolaine. Vérifier les horaires d'ouverture avant d'y aller, ce n'est pas systématiquement ouvert les soirs de week-ends. Pourrait être meilleur marché, mais ça en valait la peine.

Tried this place while walking around the lovely Old Town. It was a cute place and the staff were kind, but the food and the choices were rather disappointing. Good place for a drink, but I wouldn't eat there again.

Busy restaurant/bar (you are best to reserve a table for lunch in advance) with a great list of available drinks and a limited food menu for lunch. Service is friendly and efficient. The food itself is presented nicely but the quality is more in line with an average pub. A good atmosphere makes this a great bar for a drink.

A friendly family restaurant serving wonderful winter comfort food. We happily caught the tail end of the "Rosti" festival: grated potatoes with toppings from vacherin to lardons, onion and fried eggs. Great food after a day of skiing. The desserts are the highlight with traditional gruyere meringue served with double cream testing even the most gourmand of appetites!

This gorgeous, medieval building located in the old city of Fribourg overlooking river Sarine has finally re-opened! After over 18 months, this restaurant, with a unique interior, has finally found the new owner! Last night we went for a drink and some snacks Cardinal X-mas beer was just perfect in the festive atmosphere. The menu is international and it also features Moroccan cuisine! Prices are fair and the staff super friendly!
