We stopped at the Coffee Mill for lunch on our road trip. We expected this place to be good based on how busy it was. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. Between the 2 of us we ordered sausages and eggs and the veggie spinach wrap with home fries. When we got the wrap, it had egg in it which surprised me as the menu didn't say it had egg. I started eating it but looked back at the menu and realized the waitress gave me the veggie breakfast wrap instead. Because we were in a hurry to continue our trip, I ate it (well half of it). The home fries were cubes of fried potatoes...again, not what I expected as, to me, home fries are sliced potatoes grilled. The sausage and eggs were ok. Now, an hour later into our drive, I had to go to the washroom so bad! This continued for the rest of the day and into the evening. I am guessing it was the sauce or cheese in that wrap. Was really glad I only ate half of it.Because of that experience, I would never go back. Should have gone to a chain restaurant like Montana's or Tim Horton's to be safe.

Iâd heard so much about these wonderful pizzas that I seized the chance to grab one when the opportunity presented itself at the Boyce Farmers Market today. I can see why they earn so much praise because obviously a lot of thoughtfulness and effort go into the varied toppings and the crusts. So I recognize I may be the only one to have felt some disappointment when I finally sampled a Mildaâs pizza. However, in case there is anybody else who is a huge fan of European-style thin-crust Margherita pizza, Iâll just share the information that I found mine did not live up to my expectations. Admittedly, the thin-crust Margherita pizzas that I have frequently enjoyed in Europe have set the bar high, so perhaps the comparison with this version might be a bit unfair. But I found this pizza crust thick and bread-like, and the sauce/cheese/toppings were disappointingly bland. The other pizza types offered by Mildaâs may well be wonderful, but I canât recommend this one for anybody who wants a European-style Margherita pizza on a genuinely thin and crispy crust.

The Cinnamon Cafe is a restaurant that was created for one purpose, to be the first restaurant in fredericton to provide a wide range of exclusively vegan and vegetarian apps, entree's and desserts from falafel wraps to vegan burgers to coconut cream pies
6 of us went to Fredericton and were looking for a place to eat. 2 were sure they did not want vegan. We ended up at the Cinnamon Cafe to find a full vegan and or gluten free menu. One woman said she will now be looking for vegan restaurants at home and the other was totally impressed too. No one was disappointed. Food was incredible, generous portions and even their coffee was good. Very reasonably priced!

The Abbey Cafe & Gallery is known as a casual, quick service restaurant. Our dishes are fresh, fast, and healthy! We serve vegan meals, vegan desserts, Tea of Life Kombucha on tap, and locally roasted Whitney Coffee. We also have gluten-free food. Sip on
My husband and I decided to give The Abbey Cafe & Gallery a visit in our quest to familiarise ourselves with the vegan and vegetarian scene in Fredericton. I have to admit my initial impression as we walked in was one of slight reservation and doubt but I am happy to report this feeling was soon dispelled. The menu is great! Not only do they serve 'today's soup' but also 'yesterday's soup', my grandfather always said second-day soup is best! Along with a fairly extensive menu with a selection of paninis, salads, hot bowls, cold bowls and burritos. With jackfruit, coconut bacon and tofu options on the menu it is clear to see this is a kitchen that is serious about vegan options and food. After much deliberation, my husband opted for the Pulled 'Pork' Jackfruit Panini which came with the option of soup or slaw. He chose the 'Yesterday's Soup' option, Coconut Corn Chowder. The soup was rich and creamy thanks to the coconut and the fact it was a day old. The panini was a revelation. He found the flavour of the pulled pork jackfruit totally convincing however the texture was obviously different. All in all, it received a huge thumbs up. I ordered the Spicy Pad Thai bowl, broccoli, edamame, sprouts, purple cabbage, brown rice and a spicy vegan Thai sauce. The veggies were all presented and cooked so there was still bite to them, just the way I like them and the sauce had a real kick to it. Again, very good and a generous helping. Then there is the Kombucha which they sell from a keg. The choices on Saturday were Apple Cinnamon and Wild Blueberry. We went with the Apple Cinnamon and boy was it good! I am not normally a Kombucha fan but this stuff won me over. It was fresh, perfectly flavoured, nicely carbonated and extremely more-ish. So much so that we purchased a growler and will be refilling it the next time we are in town. The staff were friendly and the cafe itself has a very relaxed vibe. We did not explore the downstairs seating area and full gallery but we will definitely be back and will do so then.So to sum up, I would have to say that The Abbey Cafe & Gallery is possibly one of the best options in Fredericton for vegans and vegetarians. Keep up the good work.Thank you Mairi M, we are happy you took a chance and gave us a try!
