With the city. Only a couple of blocks away so we walked (recommended by local) orders some sandwiches. Conversation was sparse except for ...boy this is good...the meat on this sandwich is awesome (my contribution)..glad they told us about this place. Only regret is not being able to get a Lasagna slab and dessert, but it was 1pm on a Tuesday...stop in and enjoy, but please don't tell me the lasagna was as good as it looked...

We met friends here for breakfast and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. The owners were very visible and walked around making sure everyone was enjoying their meals and had everything they wanted. We will definitely go there again next time we're in town.

It's a lovely shop with lovely products, but when I asked for 200g of each of two (expensive) cheeses, I asummed I was getting something close to that. In a well-run establishment, a well-trained staff member tells the customer if it's not close. One cheese was 0.282, one was 0.262. In my book, that is sharp practice. Its about TEN dollars more.

Hilltop Diner has been in business since 1946. We still serve many of our original menu items, keeping our customers coming back, year after year. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, weâre always glad to see you. We treat every customer like a specia
This was my first visit to this diner. For a older cafe it sure reminded me of the many that use to be around. It is probably one of a few that excist. Thanks for coming by Louie! We are glad you enjoyed our little diner. We hope you stop by again soon. - Andrea Zaiser, Owner

Arrived for our high tea and we were seated in the back room..very close quarters with little elbow room. While the decor was cute...the seating arrangements were abit cramped. The creme de la earl grey tea was good. The presentation was good however the pastries and savouries were just okay...cucumber topping was bitter..the cheese shortbread was crumbly and dry with little flavour...there were mini croissants with egg salad which were good and the hot savouries were the mini quiche and the sausage pin roll..The candied almonds were stale...and the half a dozen of them presented in a large paper cupcake liner were underwhelming. The scones were nice with the Devonshire cream and raspberry preserves...however there was only enough Devonshire cream and jam for two scones and not four..The pastries were slightly better..mini pink cupcake with buttercream icing...mini meringues with dried floral sprinkles...something blackberry thimble like ..the best and the highlight of the high tea...a tiny chocolate cake enveloped with chocolate...Suggestions for improvement....the servers might Provide a brief description of what was on the 3 plated tier to the guests and perhaps a quality check after delivering the tea and food as it was difficult to flag someone down for more coffee and refreshing our tea pot...Iâm glad we tried the LWH high tea but there are others that have much better food and better service with less cramped quarters to revisit, especially @ $27.30
Food is okay, pricey though for a cafe. And it took forever to come out duringna dead hour. The staff though is just terrible. They all seem to hate their jobs, they are not friendly at all, do not make conversation whatsoever even when it was completely dead. This is the 5th or 6th time I've been and every single time I've gone its been the same experience. I won't be coming back.

What a disappointment! Used to be a thriving, fun place with a great menu. Not anymore! Itâs dingy, dirty, unfriendly and completely not welcoming. They offer zero options for different diets, and told me the fries were gluten free (âTheyâre potatoes.â) when they are clearly coated in flour. It was freezing in there, the seats are ripped and bare, no one cracked a smile....should have noticed how empty it was and taken that as a hint to go elsewhere. What a shame.

The heart of Sabà Café and Bistro is our love for food, and more specifically, our passion for gathering, breaking bread around a communal table and sharing lifeâs simplest pleasures with the people we love. The word Sabà derives from old Hebrew and thoug
Really terrific atmosphere, ambiance. Only disappointment was that the hallah French toast was not cooked enough.. the veggie bennies were terrific as was the Shasunkra was excellent.Service was extraordinarily terrific and the staff seemed to be really enjoying their roles, fair priced, only open at this time for breakfast and lunch.Definitely a place to try even if your trip is from a distance.

Three of us went to lunch on a beautiful sunny day in February. The room we were in was fantastic with high ceilings and lots of light, very open and inviting.I had a bowl of Elk Stew which was very very tasty and loaded with lots of meat. A bit salty and I had to ask to have it heated up more even after asking when ordering to make sure it was really really hot. Oh....the Elk stew was not too gamey...just right. My wife had a breakfast sandwich that was very good, but she felt it was a bit dry with the bannock break herbed bun sort of overtaking the whole sandwich. She ordered a coffee which she had to ask to have reheated because it was not hot enough. Our friend had the Salmon Chowder which looked delicious and tasted great. We would go back again.
