What a delightful and intimate place Lilies on Brougham is! One would think you are walking through France. Interesting and unique giftware, fabulous fashion at reasonable prices and great coffee. All surrounded by a little French garden. Treat yourself.

The Shillinglaw Cottage reopened in January 2016 under new management and is now a family owned and operated cafe focusing on locally sourced produce, great coffee, delicious chef-made food and friendly service. It offers a dining room and an alfresco gar
This is THE place to come if you want something different to mainstream cafes that say they cater for kids. Welcome to Shillinglaw located off Main Road in Eltham. This old homestead built around the 1850âs was fortunately salvaged when a demolition order was impending and converted to the sweetest cafe / restaurant. Today it is beautifully decorated with an eclectic range of well chosen homewares that makes me think itâs been staged Australian Country Style magazine. You walk through the main door to a small reception to the left and a very small kitchen to the right. How they pump out so many great meals is a testament to the talents of the chefs. Keep walking up the stairs to a lovely indoor dining area which doubles as function room. Keep walking through this area to a covered outdoor dining area that opens up to another eating area that is bathed in the dappled light of an oak (?) tree. Here is where the magic happens. The ground is covered with fake turf so come sun or rain itâs an all season mudless play area. The sandpit is huge with plenty of space for lots of kids. Seating is comfortable and matches the theme of the decor and also wonât blow away with a gust of wind. Menu is simple but healthy fare. My daughter had scone, jam and cream. I had packed eggs on sour dough with a side serve of bacon and haloumi. The chair latte was a nice loose leaf blend and served in the cutest jug.Service was excellent and faultless. Nothing was too much trouble and the food took about 15 minutes from order to table. Good parking out the front. Kid friendly. Not sure if itâs wheelchair friendly because of the stairs but there may be access from the rear. Takeaway coffee and cakes available. Functions can be booked so make Enquiries via the website. Big brownie points - your fur babies are welcome.Highly recommend.

Came here with my husband and a friend for some brunch. We were seated right away in the courtyard upon our arrival. The cafe was full of customers. I had the Shakshuka with chorizo. The Shakshuka tasted great and was full of flavour. There was a generous amount of portion to the meal. The coffee is amongst the best coffee that I have tasted. I would recommend anyone who is traveling to Melbourne and is in this beautiful area to come here and have some brunch. You will not be disappointed, that's for sure!

Four of us had lunch at Espresso 3094 recently.Smallish cafe on Were Street. You can either dine inside or outside. We chose to dine inside because it was raining.Menu has an extensive range of choices for breakfast and lunch from which to choose.Various coffees were ordered and they were very good indeed.Staff were very friendly, and we did not have to wait too long for our orders. All good, but if you choose to eat inside it is veeerry noisy.

This authentic Italian resturant only opens for dinner on Friday's and Saturdays. The lovely italian couple hand make gnocchi, cannoloni, lasagne and arancini balls. All are delicious and magnificinetly prepared. The wood fired pizza are also a cut above with a good array of options. The premises though small is welcoming with ample parking. The service is friendly and warm and the selection of "real" italian beers (only 4) but three were new to us and enjoyable and award winning. Don't over order like we did and end up with a sizeable bill - we were clearly over excitied. Their coffee is excellent (as per coffe snob husband's assessment). The nutella and strawberry pizza was a winner for the teenagers and the dessert array impressive. Worth a visit. We'll return but perhaps order a lot less.

My Gluten Free bun had been microwaved until it was so hardthat your teeth couldn't go through it. On drawing the waitresses attentionto that fact...her only comment was "I'll let the kitchen know".The content of the bun was delicious but I should have sent it back!!

I remember when this used to be a bike shop, so when it closed down and opened as Zen Den, I had to come and try it. It was good then and it's good now. I revisited last week and found everything to be pretty much ideal. Staff were quick and attentive. Portion sizes were good. Atmosphere nice. Decor appealing. Even the playlist for music was well chosen. I had the crispy sweet potato chips which were not overcooked, which is often what happens at some places. Coffee pretty good. My friend is a vegetarian but they had a veggie burger which was really quite big and generously filled with delicious food. The prices are a little bit on the higher side than normal but you get what you pay for. Downside is that it can get noisy. Parking can be a bit challenging but the Eltham Hotel is next door. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Nice little outdoor space available as well. Oh, and if you want to come and read, they've even got books here.

We are a family-run café, open 7 days a week from 7am and serving modern Australian breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Third Chapter is located right in the heart of Eltham with lots of parking and public transport nearby. Looking forward to seeing you
Caught up with a whole lot of friends at this establishment a couple of Saturdays ago. Staff were attentive but not intrusive, food was delivered in good time and I certainly enjoyed the Calamari. I heard no dissenting voices from my group. Would certainly recommend in future.

Loved this place and found it through the Entertainment Book! The breakfast I ordered was scrumptious and my friend had the French Toast which was truly yum!Needs a booking as itâs quite limited seating and the car park is small too.Highly recommend for something special.
