Homemade cakes and scones, All day breakfast, light lunches and afternoon tea. Vegetarian friendly and Gluten Free options. Dog friendly.
We (granddaughter, daughter-in-law and I) often visit here for lunch and it is always very good. Lovely staff, best quiche Lorraine - served with fresh slaw and salad - and if the granddaughter would like an egg roll she can have one. No fuss. Delicious cakes (chocolate tart!!!) and scones.

Spent some time here chatting with friends. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, good range of simple food, excellent home made cakes and free coffee refills. How many cafes offer free coffee refills? It's like visiting an old friend. Cyclists, dog walkers, shoppers, walkers, passers by, everyone is made to feel at home. Excellent! Long may it continue.

Took visiting family in mid-afternoon to show what we were raving about following trips to former premises in Cockenzie and Gullane. Great job in bringing the Haddington premises to life. Still great selection of cakes. Sadly four of us wanted the French Toast as it sounded delicious. After placing the order we were told there was no French Toast left. Iâm no cook, but is it possible not to have the ingredients for French Toast in such a place!?

We had not visited for 3 years, but the welcome and scones were just as we remembered. We were welcomed in, as was everybody else that visited. The hot chocolate was delicious as were the cheese scones.Well worth dropping in on a wet day, as we did, or a dry day.

This is a little gem and put together with great care. Firstly the context, this is a small cafe attached to a wake park trying to do something a bit different and with a quality twist, it is not an inside venue with lots of room. They clearly make a lot of the products locally and have a great range of products for what they are working in a 'big shed' with a hatch. Very nice staff who care about what they are doing and who bring everything to you. Ok it can be a bit pricier than some but that's probably a price you have to pay for home baking and quality food and coffees. (Try Hillend for cheap!) As you are sitting out to eat the ideas of the boxes for food stop it blowing into the water is clever. We have eaten here all across this summer and it's great to have a quality operation in what is a challenging venue, partly due to its seasonality and space issues, so thanks for making it different.Recommend the nachos and the smoothies.....with a bacon roll on the side! with Pretzel and Almond Crossant to finish.Thank you for your kind review and comments. It is important to us to offer our customers tasty freshly made food and do our utmost to use local and seasonal produce as much as we can. We are delighted you have tasted our dishes and are a regular satisfied customer and hope you will continue to be so for a very long time.

We ordered mixed sandwiches for 20 people for a pre-wedding lunch and were not disappointed. There was plenty of choice and the bread was really tasty. We supplemented the order with some large homemade sausage rolls which soon disappeared. A great choice, weâd return if we could.Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the sandwiches and I hope you all had a wonderful time at the wedding.Kind regardsAnita

Easy place to stop off on the A1. Plenty of parking available and a play area outside if visiting with children. Food is overall very good. Starter of celeriac and apple soup was lovely. Regular beef burger was great but the beetroot and think it was halloumi cheese wasn't nice. No particular taste to it apart from a used oil aftertaste. The potato wedges etc that came with it were tasty though. Lovely piece of cake to take away. The shop area has so many interesting things in it that I could have bought everything. Been several times now and no doubt will be back again.Hi Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We are delighted that you choose to use us and that you enjoyed your visit. I will pass on your feedback regarding the beetroot burger as it has now become a firm favourite with everyone so we need to ensure we get it right every time.Regards Trish Leckie owner

We visited for the first time today and were made to feel most welcome. Although we arrived well past the time that breakfast rolls are served, the cafe was momentarily quiet and we were offered bacon rolls, which were very tasty. The coffees were hot (like another reviewer, this is not the case in all establishments) and the cup size generous (and no silly glass latte glasses - proper cups with saucers). Bright, clean and a great bonus to East Linton. We will be back!
