What a place! It was like stepping back into the 1960âs. Staff dressed like care assistantâs (very strange) poor menu, no soup of scones available although they had a board outside advertising them. Cake tasted like it had been baked last week and smelt musty just like the cafe. Crisps were stale, no atmosphere what so ever. When I went to pay the bill I was told they had no change so could I go and get them some!!!!!!! What a very strange bizarre place. Stay away is the best advice I could give you.Hi thank you for you comments. My staff member tried very hard to please you at the time of your visit to no avail. She did also apologize for the shortage of change as it was a bank holiday. As for our uniforms we find them comfortable to work in and within the keeping of our vintage theme. I am pleased to say stepping back in time is the way it is meant to be. I would however like to apologize about the soup and scones but as we bake and cook from fresh everyday those 2 items had been sold out due to been extremely busy.

This is a small cafe at one of the ferry terminals. You can sit in or take away, very cramped at the door and counter as they have the drinks fridges right at the front door and very awkward to get in and out which is a pity. Food was ok and prices reasonable, staff werenât overly friendly, took my order and no other dialogue of any kind

Gave it a try as its Under new management, limited menu which i understand, very slow service, clearly understaffed when chef is out taking orders (observed that its clearly not his skillset) leftover dishes on table, waitress asked if we had enjoyed our meal surprised when we said we hadnât ordered yet. Do not serve Lattes only coffee and milk. Soup and roll average at best, macaroni was watery and small portion. Staff clearly trying their best but a drop in standards from what it was. Not sure we will go back which is a pity as its a great location.

Private Caterers based in Argyll carrying out catering contracts all over the world from in house dinning to outside catering covering all weddings and functions.
Had a great time at this restaurant with some friends around a month ago. The food was excellent and all washed down with some nice wine and a variety of gins. David the owner was very knowledgeable about his gins and has a vast range. The menu isn't extensive, but well thought out, and there are daily specials on the board. Would highly recommend it and will hopefully be visiting again soon.

Came across this cafe by chance and decided to have lunch there. It is above a shop and we were shown a table by a pleasant young man. We decided to have a salad. We both chose the prawn salad and it was very generous and with an excellent selection of salad. The menu is extensive and offers good value for money. There were several families in when we were there, so it is a popular place. Heartily recommend this cafe if you want a pleasant seating area, good food and good value. You will not be disappointed.
