We were staying at the Barrows Inn and walked to the Dorset Inn each morning for breakfast (it was included with our stay). On the way back we would stop at the Rising and pick up sandwiches for our hikes. They had a nice selection of specialty sandwiches and much better quality than those at the general store. We also picked up wonderful iced lattes for mornings at the pool. The only disappointing item was their homemade lemonade...very watered down. I would definitely stop here when staying in Dorset. Their breakfasts looked good also!!

Large menu of eggs, omelettes, scrambles, pancakes, Benedictâs. Good Food, but didnât like the thick slices of French bread toast instead of regular bread. I got the turkey hash and it was a little salty. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and delicious. The scones were okay, but not as good as they looked. The room is very small and limited space to wait. Server very friendly and patient despite how busy they were. Very popular place. Only serves breakfast until 12:30 pm and take checks or cash, no credit cards.

The Little Rooster Cafe is small, but the food is fantastic. In all the years we have been going to VT, this was the first time we had tried eating here - 7/19. Great, bring your appetite. Clean and very cute. The staff really works hard to provide a quality menu with some unique ingredient combinations as well as some of the traditional choices. We are so glad that you had a great experience and would definitely be delighted to have you return. Thanks for your vote of approval.
