Visiting Diss and wanting a coffee, popped into this place. The espresso was decent, and cakes looked very good. But the real star is their ice creams! These are made on the premises, and about seventy (!) different flavours are available. Many from the counter, and many more, in tubs, in a separate display fridge. The ice creams are quite delicate, and can vouch for the coconut, the peach, pistachio. The bacon with maple syrup was a successful funky choice. And look forward to returning to sample the chocolate with beetroot. Having recently visited a hipster type ice cream parlour in Felixstowe (very good, but really pricey) these prices represent a real bargain. Spoke to the owner/ice cream maker who is a real enthusiast. This is a lovely, non pretentious, place that any ice cream enthusiast should visit.Next time we will bring a cool bag and go home with a selection of tubs!

We had gone for a good coffee and cake in one of the local coffee shops rather than the larger groups. The coffee was ok and so was the cakes if a little over done. Unfortunately the service wasn't great they gave us coffee creamer not fresh milk or cream. But the disappointing part was the state of the upstairs where the toilet are, not very nice to visit at all.

We are a Delicatessen, where you can have Deli Boards, Pies or Pasties with a glass of wine or a coffee. We have seating or you can takeaway.
he atmosphere is very friendly and very relaxed, in fact everything about this venue is excellent and it is the little things that count. Every little detail is just right, from the correct glass, the right cup, and even the right cutlery go to make dining and drinking here a pleasure. We always have to try the different meats and deli range of chesses and with such great value wines we cant say no. Excellent cakes and coffee mixed with attentive and friendly service, this one is a must for anyone visiting Diss or who live in Diss, we recommend you try this - Enjoy.

This small café was very popular, with a constant stream of customers. There is a good reason for this, as the food and service were both very good. Where necessary the food is freshly cooked, but there are no long waits. Considered good value for money - a large jacket potato loaded with prawns and a salad was £5.25.The staff were all very friendly. Premises appeared clean with a five star hygiene rating.

Nice little place which is well known and popular. The food is of a high standard and the service is good too. It can get very busy at peak times.

A beautiful, cottage style cafe set on The Mere in Diss. Out of the way, with views of the fountain. Excellent home made food, great staff and a friendly welcome.
Visited Diss yesterday with a friend and decided to try Katies Kitchen for lunch based on reviews. We arrived at 12.30 and got the last table. The menu and specials board contained just what is needed at lunch time. It took us a while to decide what to have and then the really nice lady in charge warned us that there would be a bit of a delay due to them being so busy. The food was lovely. We didn't have room for a cake but there were some really good looking homemade cakes. Incredible value, lunch including a drink for just over £8.

A wonderful independently owned local café on Fair Green in Diss serving delicious home cooked food. Fantastic breakfasts (full English served til 2pm) and delicious lunches plus amazing cakes, coffee & more! On sunny days make the most of the terrace out
Havenât been to the Angel for a long time and so glad we opted for lunch there. My scotch egg was absolutely perfect with crisp breadcrumbs and tasty sausage meat and came with an enormous salad selection and potatoes. Incredible value. The quiche and scrambled eggs also looked good. The coffee was well made and strong. Will be back for pancakes!

Every visit to Amandines there is a unique and mouth watering menu that makes it hard to choose. The food is moreish and never disappoints, every bite is fresh and flavourful. My personal favourites are the Aranchini and the gorgeous curries, along with the raspberry bread and butter pudding that you canât miss for dessert!! The waitresses in Amandines are welcoming and friendly which makes for a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, not forgetting Amelia and Brian, who are so lovely and hospitable. The restaurant itself has a beautiful courtyard with a glass roof and green plants climbing the walls, which I love! As well as the wood burner in the colder months making it cozy and inviting! My family and I love coming here, I wish we could come more often! I would recommend Amandines to anyone looking for delicious food and great customer service! Amazing!
