This little diner inside The Henry Ford does a great job of providing a period accurate restaurant from 1946. The furniture, furnishings, dress, and even the menu appear accurate for that time and allows you to immerse yourself in a trip back in time. The menu is limited which is also accurate for the period. I tried to order a diet soda but they don't serve them because they did not exist in 1946. The food was pretty good diner food - I had a simple ham and cheese sandwich. Lot's of fun!

Sadly, I drive half an hour to get here because there are no decent bagel places around--this is the closest bagel spot but if not for special offers, I probably wouldn't return. Mercifully, music is at a tolerable volume today. However, it's still way too cold and I don't understand why they refuse to correct that problem! I received a free egg sandwich with purchase of a drink but they burned the bagel when toasting it (see photo). I like the coffee but wish they didn't sweeten the fruit flavored tea. They FINALLY installed some outlets to plug in and recharge but wi-fi is a joke here (even though it's a small place).
