Things to do in Daylesford
Have eaten there twice in last few weeks whilst travelling between Ballarat and Bendigo. Pizzas are the best around by miles! They are huge and covered with cheese and toppings. Be aware that large pizza is very filling!Wife loves their greek salad which is so beautifully presented, with intricate cuts of tomato and cucumber surrounding a huge spectacular salad. Dressing is incredible! And only $9.50!!!Being Daylesford you would expect high tourist town prices, but no! Pizzas are around $18 -20 for a large.Highly recommend!

The casual cafe vibe of Koukla Daylesford reflects the very essence of regional Victoria. Pull up a chair under the iconic vine-covered verandah in Summer, or take a seat fireside in Winter. Open daily from 7.00am - late our regionally inspired menu cater
Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. This restaurant quite frankly ruined our Friday night. The service was actually non existent (never experienced anything like it!!), one of the waitresses was chewing gum, took about 45 minutes to get our drinks (had to get up 3 or 4 times to remind them), the food was inedible - the lasange was dry, the gnocchi was dry - both looked and tasted like they had been cooked two weeks ago. The lamb was cold and tasteless. I'm usually not one to bother with reviews but this experience was so bad I felt it was an injustice to others not to advise of our experience - we left quite upset and would not want other customers to waste their time or money with this restaurant.

Friendly Staff, contemporary comfort food for a great price, many vegan options, disabled toilets, single origin and blended coffee (roasted locally), craft beer (bottles, cans & taps), specialty spirits, local wine & produce, spacious venue, courtyard, f
We went there for sunday brekky. I wouldnât rush there. The coffee was ok but nothing exciting. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and rubbery. The hashbrown was a big square of mash potato. Slightly undercooked. They ran out of sausages which is surprising as it wasnât especially busy but can happen I suppose. Still you would think they might have planned better. If you are hungry it will do the job but I wouldnât make it a destination.

Was very impressed with the amount of organic food, and variety of items being sold, would love to have a place like this closer to home, smoothies were delicious as well =)

Every time I'm in Daylesford - I'll try and make it to the Convent Cafe because I honestly love their scones so much. They're award winning and the range of tea/coffee they have to go with it - brilliant.

The Convent Gallery built on a hill to be close to heaven and it still is. Particularly pretty in autumn time . Has a few galleries in the house and a function room where you can have special occasion eg get married. with many paintings in each room in each gallery room. You can get a high tea most days for $ 49.00 per person or just buy a cup of coffee .You have to pay to see the Galleries. or just walk around the outside for nothing. The gardens are worth a look are are free. Lots of catholic history, it was once a school and a nunnery. Good views from certain places on the grounds.

This delightful coffee house is a lovely place to visit for brekky, morning/aftertea or lunch. Surrounded by stunning gardens with many huge trees (which would have been growing there for many years), rose hot house and many winding pathways to explore. The garden is particularly beautiful in autumn with many autumn colours filling the scenery. Coffee house serves yummy food and coffee, hot, cold and alcoholic beverages. Be sure to drop in if you visit the Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens in Daylesford.

My order of sweet potato chips were over salted and barely edible. Beside the lashings of salt, which for each chip I had to wipe off the salt off, they were rather limp and unappetising. My companions meals looked better. We were there on a busy weekend and service was slow. Ok if you have nowhere else to be, but after waiting more than 20 minutes for our meal, we had to eat in a rush.Service friendly.

Cafe, produce, deli & wine store, serving delicious food 7 days a week.
After spending time at the Sunday market we popped in for a bite to eat. The dining room is rustic, warm and staff are welcoming. There are also seats on the sidewalk.Lots to choose from a reasonably priced menu and no doubt equally delicious as our Shakshuka!Thank you for choosing to visit Cliffyâs and for your review. Weâre thrilled to receive hour great feedback! The Shakshuka is one of our favourite menu items, so weâre glad you enjoyed it as much as we do. Hope to welcome you back again soon.

Such a cute little cafe. We tried to book, but the cafe only takes booking for 6 or more. Itâs not a huge place. We got there at 8.45 for brunch & it was already very busy. We ended up taking a table outside, even though it was cold. The waitress could see were were all pretty cold & offered us blankets to keep warm. After we ordered & started drinking our coffees, the same waitress came & offered us a share table upstairs. We were happy to share with another couple, we hoped they didnât mind sharing with a group of 5 women. The food took a little while, maybe 30 minutes, but when it arrived it was gorgeous. Very tasty & good value for money. When we left, people were lining up to get in. My tip, go early, before 9.00am if you want a table straight away, especially on a weekend. It was a pleasure to have you and your group thanks Vicki. See you next time you're in town.
