Very nice wee place just off High Street. Staff super friendly. Seemed like limited choice but on further examination and discussion with wait or, it was difficult to choose. Really enjoyed lunch and organic white wine. Would definitely recommend.. And go back!

Lunch with friends; great food and fantastic value. Obviously very popular with locals, who popped in for take- aways, as well as meals.Basic decor / seating: a great place for a nice lunch but not the place for a fancy meal.Seating rather uncomfortable for anybody with mobility / disabilty issues, but staff very friendly and accomodating.Excellent for veggies; not so good for meat eaters! Highly recommended. Lovely place.

Modern British cafe offering Scottish breakfasts, homemade soups and daily lunch specials, freshly ground coffee and a lovely selection of homebaking
Nice and clean. Canât make scrambled eggs, but bacon rolls are good. Staff friendly enough. But could do with nice tables and chair. To make it less canteen like.
Amazing ice cream waffles and sundaes prices are reasonable they deliver too which is great. The only thing I can flaw is they dont seem to have an online menu so it can be difficult to know what to get for collection or delivery.

Small café serving homemade food from breakfast, soups, lasagne, toasties, baked potatoes pies and cake!
In Musselburgh with my 20 year old son today and we were starving and this wonderful cafe was first place we came across so nipped in...so glad we did. We both had soup and a toastie with a soft drink then I ordered tea and the carrot and walnut cake(love a homemade cake) which was soo delicious and fresh. Staff were wonderful and looks like the type of cafe you would want to work in. Cafe was full and everyone in there were all relaxed and really enjoyed themselves as lovely welcoming feel about the place. If back in Musselburgh I wil definitely be back. Prices were really good...very impressed.

Beautiful day and not one to be spent waiting for the arrival of a meal ordered on arrival. 3 fractious children hungry for lunch, 4 hungry Adults hoping that the wait would not be long. Glorious grounds inviting you outside but just a very long wait. In our case 1 hour. When it came the meal was only average. The Haddock was not fresh off the fishmongers slab and the chips were disappointing. The children were not too thrilled by their offering and a regular supply of Tomato ketchup was demanded to add some flavour. The Cullen Skink got a thumbs up. On the plus side the staff were very friendly and a delight to engage. Perhaps Sunday lunch is not a prime time for 'The Kitchen' It was not cheap which makes me say that it was not good value. I am sorry but I was disappointed. Oh and be prepared for a real hike up to the toilets which were spotless but there is a lift.We are so sorry you had to wait so long for your food yesterday. Thank you very much for letting us know - we will be taking action based on your feedback. We're delighted you found our team to be so friendly and helpful on the service side. Just to let others know we do also have an accessible bathroom downstairs and a parenting room.
