Only one other couple in here took 1/2 hr for our simple orders ( which they got wrong ) to arrive. If you are in a hurry I suggest you go elsewhere Our food was nice but certainly not worth the wait

My husband, three children and I stayed at the French Island General Store Cottage. It was well equipped with everything we needed. We especially loved the fire pit outside. The food served at the general store was amazing and the owners went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. The wine from the French Island Vineyard was very nice too. A very much needed quiet break from Melbourne.

Although it has no views of the water it is up on the hill and has a sense of space. Located in the middle of Cowes, Gulliverâs is something of an icon for tourists and locals. Consistently good food and service (with the occasional hiccup of course). Menu is nice and there is something for everyone. Food is simple fare. I had a very nice toasted sandwich and coffee. Portion size was good and presented in a simple manner. Kids accommodated nicely. You can dine indoors or outside. Wheelchair friendly. Pram and stroller accessible. Good parking.

Enjoyed a coffee as I waited for a hairdressing appointment. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant staff. There are a few really great coffee places in Cowes so they have a challenge, so having a good hairdresser nearby is a point of difference! I enjoyed my visit.

With all the food choices in Cowes we tried this tucked away option.Disappointingly at 11.40 the breakfast menu was off but the lunch menu consisted of freshly prepared delectable options. The coffee was good.Only thing is the food choices are fully priced for what you get.But well worth a try

Called in here for Saturday morning coffee with another couple.Bad choice should have kept walking. Rude staff all the wanted to do was talk with the locals and kept us waiting. Cafe was not busy. We decided we would only have coffee and they did not seem interested. Coffee had a burnt taste. Like they had not cleaned the machine after each order. Coffee was only warm. When I complained the guy behind the counter making coffee said that was the way the made it. Well we did not like the way you made it and we are the one.s paying for it. Will not go back there again

Love this place. Friendly staff always welcoming and know my favourite beverage Chilli Choc Chai. So many delicious treats and meals to choose from. Enjoy working my way through the menu. Favourites are the buckwheat pancakes, ancient grain porridge, beefless burger along with the variety of smoothies. Hard to stop there finishing with the many treats. Thankyou for being on the island. My go to place

This cafe / restaurant is tucked away off the main streets , however donât let that deter you . Plenty of parking either out front or public car park next door.Walk down the arcade and then in to the restaurant, which as a building had a rich history with many notable features still remaining from its early days as a church. The menu is good with mains including burgers , risotto, lamb shanks , fish and chips , salads and more . A cabinet full of cakes and slices and the venue is fully licensed.Plenty of seating and very suitable for families .We enjoyed the live music and will definitely return when we are next on the island .
