One of my favourite breakfast dishes is eggs Benedict, and It was done quite well here. My review is four stars rather than five, as they poached the ratings by microwaving which typically use the yolk better cooked than I like. The hollandaise sauce was good, and the sourdough bread was good. Spinach is added to the dish as a matter of course here which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it should be stated as an extra ingredient to the traditional recipe. Or perhaps called eggs Benedict à la maison to alert to the fact that it isn’t the trad dish.

We stopped in on a recommendation. They have a fabulous breakfast menu. I had the black pudding hash and my friend had the vegetarian hash. Both dishes were absolutely gorgeous. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. In addition to the great food and warm welcome, I was delighted to see hand sanitizers at the serving hatch and at the doorway into the kitchen. Also every time the chefs weren’t serving up dishes, they were cleaning down the surfaces. Made me feel very confident about the food I was getting. We’ll definitely be back

Family style restaurant serving Breakfast & Lunch
It was Good Friday and we needed some lunch so we decided to head towards Naas. The traffic was very bad and came to a standstill at the Kill exit so we hadn’t been through there in a long time and decided to go through the village to see if there was any nice restaurant there. I spotted The Canvas Cafe and it had some people sitting outside on a nice day. We went in and were very lucky to get a table as it was quite busy. We got our menus and were told and shown the specials board. A few fish dishes were there, given the day it was. The menu itself was excellent and had plenty of choices including a full pizza menu which are a specialty of the house. There were some nice starters and desserts also.I had a prawn linguine in a tomato based sauce and my partner had a beautiful wrap with a seafood chowder. I tasted the chowder and I was hooked on it. Very clean place with helpful staff and prompt service, for a very reasonable price. We even got two takeaway pots of chowder to bring home for lunch the next day.We will be back and have already recommend this place to our family and friends.Thank you very much for your lovely words and we hope to see you again soon.

Seated straight away and our waitress was prompt and curtious. Arrived for a late breakfast/early lunch just before 12 so ordered the Club sandwich with soup and my daughter ordered the Turkey, cranberry and stuffing sandwich with soup also. Both sanwiches were served on lovely fresh brown bread with plenty of ingredients and were so delicious and the carrot and coriander soup was gorgeous. Looking forward to returning.

1st visit. Normal tables and chairs at front of cafe , but further toward the back are armchairs and tables. Lovely antique lamps and furniture around and the food was lovely. Good coffee as well.

Lovely little cafe just hidden off the Main Street. Great safe space for bikes out the back. Friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely coffee scones and cake. Such a pleasure to stop there. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I have never tried lunch so cannot comment on this.
I recently moved to this area and can not recommend here enough. Excellent menu, freshly made food with nice presentation. very nice atmosphere. Staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. My partner and I regularly eat here and look forward to returning. Well worth a visit!

I love coming home and getting to go here. The staff are always super friendly and the food is amazing. My favorite is the breakfast club ( great cure for a hangover). The teas, coffees and cakes are always delicious. The only negative thing I can say is that you can’t change anything in the full or mini Irish breakfast. I asked if I could have a sausage instead of a rasher and was told no but I could pay for the extra sausage. This didn’t make sense as I had to pay for the rasher that I didn’t eat so surely it wouldn’t have been to much trouble to make this change.
