This is a wonderful old bar loved by locals and tourists. Finding a chair can be difficult, but just take a walk and return. Service is not excellent, but I felt much happier having visited this place than any of Hemingways preferences in Havanna.

Good thing we dropped by here. This is a government run restaurant. The food was not expensive. Under $2.00 CUC person and plenty of change to spare. The drinks are good and cold and was about $1.00 each. Keep the tab or pay as you buy your drink or they will over charge you for the drinks.

This is a new restaurant/bar, and we were welcomed with open arms by the bartender Michel who made our visit outstanding. It is situated a few doors up from Las Mamparas which is a very highly rated and busy restaurant. So if you don't want to wait, definitely visit Arte G. The food is great and very well priced. The staff are very friendly and go that extra mile for you which we found uncommon in Cuba (in general). Even if you don't eat, Michel makes great cocktails!!
During my 3 month stay in the sleepy little city of Cienfuegos I frequented this cafe. There are at least 4 really trendy cafes in the city centre...and each is superb. But each has their own flavour or mood. Everyone is welcome here. Its eclectic, art filled and the owners love all things that are old. It's like being in a museum. But the food here, the best! The batidos (milk shakes)...delicious. The best days were the days that they received their peanut supply because they'd churn up a ginormous creamy, iconic peanut shake for a mere 2 CUC. I love the kids that hang out here. It takes me back to my hippy days. The coffee beverages are top shelf. This cafe is often opened earlier than the others, and if you're hungry, you can score a fresh huge grilled bacon & cheese sandwich...so satisfying, and it's just around to corner from the Prado. Don't miss this place if in Cienfuegos. The baristas are so caring and attentive...tip big.
