Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Chippenham. Chippenham is a large historic market town in northwest Wiltshire, England. It lies 20 miles east of Bristol, 86 miles west of London and 4 miles west of The Cotswolds AONB. The town was established on a crossing of the River Avon and some form of settlement is believed to have existed there since before Roman times. It was a royal vill, and probably a royal hunting lodge, under Alfred the Great. The town continued to grow when Great Western Railway arrived in 1841; it is now a major commuter town.

A couple of shops. An eatery that should be closed down on humanitarian grounds. Surroundings that would make a desert look full,of interesting things. Please - if you can, just go to a local pub or eatery just off the motorway. You will be supporting local people and will get actually edible food.
We had a fantastic lunch here. The menu was varied and vegan friends were catered for. The portions are ample and the food delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing as children have to be seated. There were a lot of wasps when sat outside.

Credit to Morrison they do a good meal for a very fair price. We called in on a trip back to South Wales for breakfast. Much better than a service station, and not far off junction 17 on the M4. Great breakfast, very clean, staff very polite, well presented cafe. Morrison cafes are to a very good standard. They have bad days no doubt, looking at the reviews, but we have always found them to be very good. Mike

This cafe is a little hidden being at the very back of the town hall adjacent to the car park but we'll worth finding. The service is always friendly and the food always very acceptable and reasonably priced. On this occasion we chose cheese and mushroom omelette, chips and salad and I have to admit it was the best omelette I have ever tasted. The tea and coffee is also very nice.

This cafe is near where i work and is good to nip out to if you fancy a late breakfast or lunch. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, The sandwich was full of good quality ingredients but i would say the price is a little high. Especially when you compare it to Jollys also in the town which is the best breakfast sandwiches i have to say.

We didn't know that this place existed until reading a good review in our local paper. On entering we were welcomed by a very friendly lady who explained where everything was, including the loos. The café itself and shop were a surprise. It is more like a farm shop but cheaper. The café is absolutely spotless and the tables are cleared very quickly. We had 2 very substantial breakfasts and 2 teas which came to £10.20. Fantastic value. Only thing we didn't like was the big screen showing day time tv in silence. If you must have a tv, at least show a news channel with sub titles. Although we would prefer no tv at all, but that's just us. Even so, we will be back.Thank you so much for visiting and reviewing us. We really appreciate you giving us 5 stars. The television does usually show the news or major newsworthy/sporting events unless someone requests something different. Feel free if you come again to ask for the channel to be changed if the viewing isn't to your taste.

Visited Chippenham today amongst other places and stumbled upon this café. The café is very quaint with lots of Irish memorabilia and slogans plastered over the walls, which we liked as we spent some time reading them. The lady who served us (I'm assuming the owner) was lovely, we placed our order and asked if there was a toilet on the premises, she told us that because it was a listed building, there wasn't, however there was a public toilet just round the back but we would need 20p to gain access. She then offered us the 20p, which we didn't accept as we had some 20p's. I thought this was a nice touch. I also had a nice chat with the owner about Ireland (I was there with the Army back in 1995) and she is very friendly. I ordered the Irish breakfast, which comes with Black and White pudding, bacon, sausage, beans, soda bread and I also added on a pancake type thingy, which for the life of me I can't remember but it began with a B. The breakfast was delicious. Overall, can't fault the place, good value, friendly, clean and fun. Will be going again when we are in the area.
