Visited Chippenham today amongst other places and stumbled upon this café. The café is very quaint with lots of Irish memorabilia and slogans plastered over the walls, which we liked as we spent some time reading them. The lady who served us (I'm assuming the owner) was lovely, we placed our order and asked if there was a toilet on the premises, she told us that because it was a listed building, there wasn't, however there was a public toilet just round the back but we would need 20p to gain access. She then offered us the 20p, which we didn't accept as we had some 20p's. I thought this was a nice touch. I also had a nice chat with the owner about Ireland (I was there with the Army back in 1995) and she is very friendly. I ordered the Irish breakfast, which comes with Black and White pudding, bacon, sausage, beans, soda bread and I also added on a pancake type thingy, which for the life of me I can't remember but it began with a B. The breakfast was delicious. Overall, can't fault the place, good value, friendly, clean and fun. Will be going again when we are in the area.

Sweetapples Teashop serve breakfast, light lunches and afternoon tea as well as delicious freshly ground coffee.
Visited this lovely café on the High Street in Marshfield and it is very cosyIt is much larger than you think and it is deceptive from the outside and plenty of tables insideThe service was quick and cakes were delicious and service prompt as we were short on time on a snowy day on our walkgreat value for money

Possibly due to the reviews we were expecting something really exceptional and sadly it wasnât.The menu had lots of choice. The premises were exactly as expected. The disappointing thing about here was the service. It seemed to be a huge effort for the lady behind the till to serve us. She was impatient as we tried to decide what we wanted and came across as quite rude. Iâm sure it must be annoying to have paying customers, who have never been before, and have seen such great reviews (and one verbal recommendation) need to take a bit of time to assess the menu but if you are the âwelcomeâ face of a business you need to hide your annoyance better.Iâm very sorry that we inconvenienced you!!I am very sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service you were given. We strive to make everyone feel welcome and to always offer a friendly and polite service, even when faced with the most challenging customers. It appears we failed on this occasion for which I apologise and I will remind everyone to try harder, no matter what the circumstances are. Thank you for your feedback.

Chippenham Pit Stop is a commercial filling station with restaurant and services open to all, just of Junction 17 of the M4 Motorway. We have clean and modern facilities, excellent hot showers, a barber, meeting room, outdoor dining, convenience shop, and
We didn't know that this place existed until reading a good review in our local paper. On entering we were welcomed by a very friendly lady who explained where everything was, including the loos. The café itself and shop were a surprise. It is more like a farm shop but cheaper. The café is absolutely spotless and the tables are cleared very quickly. We had 2 very substantial breakfasts and 2 teas which came to £10.20. Fantastic value. Only thing we didn't like was the big screen showing day time tv in silence. If you must have a tv, at least show a news channel with sub titles. Although we would prefer no tv at all, but that's just us. Even so, we will be back.Thank you so much for visiting and reviewing us. We really appreciate you giving us 5 stars. The television does usually show the news or major newsworthy/sporting events unless someone requests something different. Feel free if you come again to ask for the channel to be changed if the viewing isn't to your taste.
