Bristol is a quirky British city with beautiful hilly vistas and plenty of historic sights to explore. Anyone interested in ships will have a blast aboard Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great oceanliner, and the Matthew, a replica of the ship upon which John Cabot sailed to America in the 15th century. The graceful Clifton Suspension Bridge is another must-see.

This area is well blessed with cafes, so I was interested to find out why a friend had recommended it. Itâs the friendly personal touch that sets it apart. They have regulars there, whose names they know. They have a dog, Doris, who wanders amiably. A regular keeps dog treats there for her visits. Other dogs may enter. I sat at a table with a regular who introduced himself and we chatted. Itâs that kind of place. Oh, and the food and coffee were good too.

I have been to Pinkmans multiple times and am always amazed by the quality of their food. The doughnuts are delicious and extremely well filled, with a changing seasonal flavour. The bread is well baked and tasty, and the sandwiches and dips (The beetroot hummus and olive tapenade were to die for) we had were uniquely flavoured and, in places, different to the usual high street food. The staff are always friendly and happy to help, and, whilst at times the inside can get a little packed, the interior is well designed and compliments the food. Would highly recommend.

We love this little cafe. It has everything you might &fancy for lunch and a very tasty mocha that's not sickly sweet. I asked them for a custom sandwich today and they delivered. We also ordered scones which were lovely and warm with perfect thick cream and jam. Seriously good and very friendly and attentive staff. We are becoming regulars now.

We're Bristol's only dedicated board gaming cafe. We serve a selection of amazing food and drinks, from craft ales and ciders to comfort food and snacks. We have a library of over 700 games, with something to suit every taste, be it family classics, rauco
This is a place where you can eat and play board games- in fact, 850 different kinds are available. We chose it because it had a really interesting menu that ended up being amazing- sweet potato falafel, Moroccan hummus and vegetable curry were my favorite. My kids loved the nachos and the Reeseâs milkshake. Large selection of IPAs available as well. We ended up not playing but I definitely intend to on my next visit to Bristol. Apparently they are full at night so do make a reservation if going for dinner. Location is also really cool at the edge of the Christmas Steps.

Good value and tasty food near the shopping district of Bristol. Nothing blow your socks off, but a substantial selection of brunch and lunch food to a fairly high quality - good portion size. The coffee was one of the best Iâve had in Bristol - full bodied and rich. The atmosphere inside was unfortunately quite chaotic - they are obviously very busy, with people being turned away, but the staff seemed to be running around and therefore the service given was fairly scanty. It took us reminding them to get out coffee. Nicely decorated, however, somewhat more unique than your usual brunch place. On the whole, however, good experience and an enjoyable brunch.

I found out about this cafe through trip adviser as i was spending a day around Clifton and visiting the bridge. The first impression i had was of how clean and tidy this place was, the service was friendly and fast and there was a good relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the caramalised onion panni with cheese and bacon along with a coffee and a brownie. The food was very good the panni had a generous filling and was very tasty, this is not a criticism at all just my personal preference but i think serving with a small side salad and a few crisps would improve presentaion, but as i say thats just me, the coffee too was also very good and i have to say the chocolate brownie was the best i have had in a long while. So overall a big thumbs up, its a cafe i would certainly recommend and one i will be calling into again when im next in Bristol.Hey,Thank you so much for giving us this lovely review and feedback! So glad you enjoyed that panini, Thatâs a new one and we are keeping it on our new menus. Also glad you enjoyed your coffee and Brownie Look forward to seeing you again soonFlick and Team x
