This is a small family owned delicatessen shop and cafe situated in the Glasshuset shopping centre in the middle of Bodo. It was an ideal stop for lunch and coffee and offered a fantastic choice of cakes and sandwiches all baked and prepared by the family. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned for a take out lunch on our 2nd day. You can't go in without trying the cakes and pastries on offer. We thought Copenhagen was good for Danish but Aga stacked up very well.
Most of all the staff are very service minded! They be aware of you as client and make you feel important!Tasty dishes you can choose among in a cosy atmosphere.

We serve everything from norwegian traditional food to gourmet food, breakfast and buffets. Scenic view of Saltstraumen, the Saltenfjord and the mountain range Borvasstindene.
Saltstraumen Hotel as is OK, the luch and dinner servings are ok too. The price level is acceptable. All in all, it's worth a visitif not only for the view. Situated along the famous maelstrom with av view towards the mountains, that's more than acceptable.

I went to this restaurant about 7pm. It was not busy. I was seated promptly and served promptly by friendly staff. I ordered fish soup (after all, I'm in Norway) and bacalao (cod). The fish soup was very skimpy on the fish. The bacalao (cod and potatoes in a tomato sauce) was swimming in fat. Their cook should stick to burgers and pizza.

After watching the fast water for some time, we went to Kjelen to get some refreshment. You can sit on their terrace, when weather is nice, and have a perfect view of Saltstraumen. We had coffee and the specialty: Møsbrømlefse. Hard to describe, but like a warm Taco filled with brown goat cheese and Norwegian sour cream. Yummy!
In the fall of 2018, we opened our craft bakery with café and delicatessen in Bodø city centre. We focus on modern craftsmanship, quality and local produce. We bake bread with few ingredients and good seasoning - it gives the best taste, we think. Here yo
There is one thing Germans ALWAYS crave for when being overseas: Good bread. Unfortunatly not many places are good in that (at least considering German standards ;)) THIS PLACE IS BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS! The bread is incredible, so fresh and yummy and stays delicious for days. They have also great snacks (sweet and savoury) and a nice atmosphere to enjoy a coffee or two. Only little disappointment is that they are closed on Sundays and I love my Sunday Cake and Coffe - but Hey, these amazing people need a day of rest as well ;)
