Reviews on Cafe food in Blue Mountains, Ontario, Canada. Although the name suggests otherwise, the Blue Mountains is an actual town in Grey County that consists of several small communities including Thornbury, Christie Beach, Clarksburg, Heathcote and Ravenna. The area is very picturesque and scenic in the summer months and during "apple season" in the autumn, but the town is most famous for its mountains. Tourists flock to Intrawest's Blue Mountain Ski Resort year-round for its wide array of offerings. If you aren't in the mood for skiing or snowboarding, take a stroll through Blue Mountain Village and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes or a meal in one of the many restaurants located in the village.

My first visit, won’t be my last. Fantastic sandwiches. You get big slices/chunks of real roasted chicken or turkey on your sandwiches here. We ordered the Traditional Club sandwich and the Chicken Pita Sandwich and they were jam packed with meat, lettuce, tomato, etc. Delicious and fresh. You could barely get your mouth around them. Enjoyed our meals so much. Excellent service too. Maybe a bit pricy for some items on the menu but the sandwiches are worth the price. Highly recommend.
Located right next to the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster, this is probably a good place to relax and have some food after a physically exhausting ski session or a ride of the mountain coaster. 4For vegans, there isn't much here. We went for the Falafel Wrap and French Fries. Falafel wrap was made more like a sub than stuffed pita pocket. Veggies were good. Falafel bites itself were amazing. French Fries were okay. The fries weren't much crispy, and in fact a little oily. The portion was a little too much. One wrap and fries good enough for two people if you're not super hungry. The staff was just fine. The service was a little slow even though we were the only two customers but as long as they serve good, hot and fresh food - slow service can be excused.

There’s care in every dish...very good burger with very good fries...salad of 2 generous pieces local smoked trout atop mixed greens with strawberries, blueberries and goat cheese lightly dressed with vinaigrette....chicken quesadilla with house made coleslaw. In fact all is house made. The vegetable soup was thick with vegetables but a bit tangy, and lacked body (I would add a little olive oil) but still satisfying. All served by staff who care about a good customer experience. Well known for catering. Lots of free parking and conveniently located in Thornbury.

Megan is now the new owner of The Kitchen! We hired her to cater my birthday party for 50 friends. Megan welcomed my suggestions for multi-cultural food and came up with some delightful apps on her own. Satays, Gazpacho shooters and spicy shrimp were all well received! Death by Chocolate brownies with raspberry sauce almost beat out the birthday carrot cakes! Our kitchen was left spotless and wait staff were extremely well organized! Can't wait for next year's Birthday!

Home cooked breakfast with daily baked breads. Lunch served with home cooked meats and fresh baked breads. lots of daily fresh baked goods.
This is probably one of the hot spots to eat in town for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They've recently expanded, so clearly business is good. Reasonable and good enough food. Similar to the quality of a Sunset Grill. The food is OK, but not extraordinary. I'm glad for their success and hope for a more inventive, flavourful menu in the future. This would no doubt create new patronage and keep new arrivals to town from venturing off to Thornbury and elsewhere for better options.

This place is FANTASTIC!The sandwiches are delicious - great selection and they will panini press them for you.The soup is so good, I always have to get a bowl and sammie when I visit! The BEST part is the baked goods!! I always have to pick up multiple pies for family members and their cookies are AMAZING! I know a large number of people who have tried these pies and everyone agrees they are the BEST!!I was also told their frozen local beef hamburger patties are really good too. This is a must visit location!!!

Excellent menu with the usual breakfast line-up of eggs, pancakes, Benedict’s, bacon, ham etc plus some dishes available with either chicken or duck eggs.Real maple syrup, wonderful jam, breads. Hash browns need to be more browned and crispy for my taste. Great coffee and pleasant service. Bonus: games, magazines to play whilst there plus interesting preserves for sale on site!

My partner and I stopped here for lunch and both of us had the "Sandwich of the Day" which was a delightfully tasty brie on a baguette. The owners are both very friendly. Our sandwiches were delicious but they were not enough for our appetites, so we left a bit hungry. If you are not ravenously hungry and you like cheese, then this place is fantastic for a light lunch.

A Thornbury tradition! Newly renovated with more seating and great new menu options. Open 7 days a week serving full breakfasts and delicious lunches including a wonderful assortment of homemade bread, sandwiches, soups, salads, pastries and meals-to-go.
We visit this area regularly, and since finding this place have difficulty staying away from it :-) They have a great quality coffee brewing, and their baked goods are so tasty. Highly recommend the cinnamon rolls and also their unique chop suey rolls are great too.
