Lovely warm welcome followed by delicious lunch. Gorgeously warming root vegetable soup , top notch and home made. Accompanied by sandwiches of epic proportions. Huge thick fresh slices of granary bread with generous fillings, ham hock for him, and chicken and bacon for me. After a 4 mile stomp up and down the Stiperstones, it really hit the spot. Treated ourselves to delicious puddings, home made apple and pear crumble for him, and syrup sponge pudding for me.Lovely bright dining area in this very old house, full of history.Such a lovely service from both the lady who served us and the gentleman cooking the food. Warm, kindly and genuine people. Highly recommended.

Very tasty feta and sun dried tomato baguette set the standard for a yummy lunch. Friedly staff, good value prices and interesting art on the wall. Pop in when you are hungry or thirsty.

Quaint old fashioned tea rooms, brilliant home made cakes, tea in china cups a real gem. They also cater for breakfasts with English style bacon, sausage, eggs etc. Just off the main road out of Bishops castle, direction to Craven arms, signposted with re
Serendipity! What a cool place... Jennifer is lovely, food is great and we loved watching the wildlife around the pond. Great for families or anyone who likes nature. Jennifer is passionate about her wildlife too and has created a really special place! Super friendly too!!

Yarborough House is a great concept: books and records one side, coffee and cake the other. What could possibly go wrong? Not much, but not much went right either. Indifferent service, dull machine-coffee and some baked slices that lacked lustre. Next time we're in Bishops Castle we will try somewhere else...What a shame about this review. We have been running Yarborough House for 35 years and have numerous returners and many people writing on the internet that we are their favourite shop.Obviously not the reviewers cup of tea but this does not apply to our customers who visit over and over again
