Iâve been here several times and the food and service is always great. They have daily specials throughout the day, breakfast thru dinner. Breakfast was great but their red russet fried potatoes are cut up way too large which deters from a better flavor. I asked when I ordered if the cook could cut them up smaller but they said no. Fix your potatoes and Iâll rate you 5 stars next time. HI GregS,Thanks for taking the time to write about us.I'm sorry the cook didn't fix your potatoes. They should have and I will be sure to discuss your feedback with them.Thank you for your ongoing support.Best wishes,Mark KrullFirst St. Cafe

My co-worker brought me here because he heard the pot pies were good. I'm not a pot pie fan, but I had the most amazing grilled cheese sandwich I think I've ever had.And the baked goods looked absolutely unbelievable. this is one of those places that I will drive it from Oakland especially to visit.

We were looking for a lunch stop as we passed through Benicia on our way home from Wine Country. It took a bit of driving to find the place, but it was worth the search. NOT in downtown Benicia, but rather out on the north east side, past the refinery and in an industrial park.Looked like a typical coffee shop, with a good breakfast menu. We were looking for lunch and had different appetites. One very good burger, one bowl of tortilla soup, one hot wrap and one tuna / avocado salad. We were all satisfied with our meals. In general a good value, but a bit of a trek to get there.I am sure it's a good 'locals' secret - sorry about that :-)

Finally a restaurant in this location that looks like it will be here a long time. Everything we've had has been delicious. The baked goods, gluten free or regular are always fresh and varied. The Quiche is a perfect light breakfast or lunch on the go and sit down lunches are different in a good way. More veges and lots of healthy choices. Careful preparation and presentation. The wait staff are young and learning, but they are polite and accommodating. Nice addition to First Street.
