We went downtown to get a sandwich and soup in the pouring rain. The place is quaint. The people are wonderful and friendly. We got a chicken salad sandwich and a tuna sandwich and hot chili. They were passable. Nothing to write home about.
Very small shop. Two drive through lanes. Four tables & chairs inside. Very expensive. Donuts taste like a Mexican pastry.
We had never made a convenience store our #1 choice for the evening meal, but we definitely do not regret it! We had the catfish, gator and frog leg baskets (Friday night items) and enjoyed each and every bite! The fish filets are huge. All of the items were cooked perfectly (nothing was dried out like some restaurantsâ fried items). The SWAMP sauce was wonderful and I look forward to subbing it for mayo on a burger. The dining area has a great atmosphere, the staff are friendly, caring and efficient and the restrooms are clean. It is a great family owed convenience store for the usual convenience store needs and a GREAT place to eat.
