Mr G's cafe offers simple food cooked well and at a very reasonable price. They offer cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, wraps, steaks and the best milkshakes in town. They also offer an unusual selection of quality ice creams. The service is fast and friendly - couldn't ask for more.

This cafe can get crowded but that is due to the fact that the food and drinks are so good. The customer service is excellent though, and the staff are extremely helpful.Only downside is the lack/shortage of napkins, but I suspect that this is due to the fact that the general public often mistake them for confetti.

Small Independent cafe providing freshly made home-cooked food. Salad dressings, hot chocolate, hollandaise sauce is just some of the many homemade recipes! Artisan tea leaf and barista coffee. Family and dog friendly. Home baked cakes & cream teas. Morde
I have now visited Teagether many times. I have visited with both friends and family and have pretty much tried everything vegetarian on the menu. The food is freshly cooked to order and care is taken, the food is presented beautifully and nothing is too much trouble. Sometimes when it is busy there is a bit of a wait but then it isn't a fast food establishment and fresh food takes times to prepare. I go there for a relaxing meal or drink and take my time to enjoy it. There is a family area with chalkboards and toys (there are also baby change facilities) and another area where dogs are allowed, at the moment there is also an outside seating area. The brownies are amazing and every time I go in there are lots of new cakes to try. All dietary requirements are catered for. I have recommended this place many times over and everyone has loved it. I love the local artwork displayed there too. The staff are very knowledgable and friendly. This is the most welcoming cafe I have visited and is going from strength to strength.

The Tea Bar is where comfy casual overcomes the stuffy formal British tea experience. Itâs a gathering place offering food, coffee drinks, alcoholic beverages and a laid back vibe. Think Norah Jones singing Come Away With Me. The couches are comfy but larger tables host business meetings and proper ladies teas too. The cakes, scones, and such are delightful. Great experience at the Top of the Town.

After moving to basingstoke we were looking for a cafe which would serve a good english breakfast which we could visit at weekends. The staff were friendly and the food was great and good portions. We arrived about ten minutes before they were closing, we didnât feel rushed and enjoyed our visit and prices were very reasonable, and yes we will be returning !! Plenty of parking directly outside too.

It felt very average nothing special. Queue too long coffee not great. Eggs were as always. Seating is ok and everything was just so. Everything you expect but none of the special bits!

I am generally a fan of the Poppins budget cafe-restaurant franchise chain, but today's visit to the one in Basingstoke town centre was frankly disappointing. Slow service, only the basic menu (no specials other than "breakfast sandwiches") and poorly cooked chips, and are you sure those fish fingers are cod? They looked very grey. Don't allow a poor visit to one Poppins put you off trying others, they are all independent franchises.

From Monday to Friday breakfast at our house is either cereal or toast or both. So Saturday breakfast in Mr Munch now and again is a real treat. The breakfast baguette is good, so are the set breakfasts, and we have had egg and bacon sandwiches too - all delicious, No, its not the Ritz but you are not paying fancy prices, and there is good strong hot tea ( coffee is a bit hit and miss on occasion) food is served quickly and service is polite and friendly.
