We stumbled across the flying pickle on a Saturday afternoon,it was close to the kitchen closing but they accommodated our 3 sandwich orders and we are so pleased they did, they were delicious and full to the brim with fillings, the side salad was amazing and the best coleslaw Iâve ever eaten,a great selection for all diets and we will certainly return to try more on the menu, also the staff were very friendly and helpful

Licenced Café/Coffee shop located next to the towns bus station. Conveniently positioned at the gateway to Tiverton opposite the multi storey car park- Parking at the multi storey currently £2 per day
Have been a few times for a cake and drink and once for breakfast (average) the menu is quite substantial and has a large range on offer prices are reasonable for what you get , however the staff can be quite grumpy depending on who serves you the young girl that works there is always very helpful and freindly the owner and others could learn a thing or two about customer service! As its local to me and I'm all for supporting local businesses , there's more than one eatery similar to this in Tiverton and I have to say I get a warmer welcome elsewhere , would I go back yes things may improve on the back of feedback through sites like this ,I was quite sad to read your review and disappointed that you find our breakfast average. I'm really sorry that you find us all 'grumpy' However the young lady who you find helpful and chatty is a lovely young lady and maybe we all need to take a leaf out of her book. Thank you however for continuing to use us hopefully we will meet your expectations in the future.

We are currently closed for winter, and will re-open Easter 2020. Located next to the historic Grand Western Canal Basin, we offer a wide selection of cakes, light lunches, cream teas, High Teas and ice-creams. We have indoor seating for rainy days, and s
My wife and I decided to have a ploughmanâs lunch here after completing the horse drawn canal boat ride.To be fair it was a lovely day and the garden was pretty full so we expected some delay in food delivery. When we placed our order we were told that a wait of 20 to 30 minutes might ensue. After waiting some 45 minutes or so we asked a passing waiter how much longer? He was polite but said âcanât really say could be another 10 minutesâ we had decided to ask for our money back when the food suddenly arrived! The quality was adequate rather than good, quantity was good. However the long delay spoiled our visit. I guess that at peak Summer times the kitchen process is overloaded, but surely that comes down to more peak time staff? You would be better off driving into ?Tiverton and finding a local pub/cafe!

Like the last comment...I agree , this is not a great place to visit and wonât be going back. Took ages to order, or get the attention of staff, and wasnât particularly busy, service very slow ..food ok, but served with dirty cutlery and chipped crockery which puts me off completely . Eating area is stifling , with tables crammed together, public areas looks generally tired and in need of basic maintenance..nothing that a good manager couldnât sort, itâs such a shame as it is in a good location .

We received a very warm welcome at the copper kettle, on a very wet day! Huge jacket potato lunch and our cockapoo was made very welcome too. We were able to stay for a second cuppa and could have stayed all afternoon! Delightful place.Thank you for your visit and very kind words hope to see you again

A warm welcome awaits you at the Toucan, a cosy Cafe with a true sense of tradition. We work hard to offer a selection of homemade food and snacks, incorporating local produce where we can so that you get a true flavour of our beautiful surrounding countr
A beautifully clean restaurant with first class staff/owners.I had the Full English Breakfast, all freshly cooked (no stewed beans here) and very filling, so filling in fact I skipped lunch.Best breakfast Iâve had for a while, certainly a 5 star breakfast.
