Where to eat Cafe food in Baguio: The Best Restaurants and Bars

June 6, 2020 Jeremy Dunfee

Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Baguio. Baguio, perched high in the Cordillera Central Mountains, is a great place to escape the heat of the Philippine lowlands. Camp John Hay, originally built as a recreation area for U.S. soldiers, now is a full-fledged resort complete with a world-class golf course. Definitely stop at the city market, where you can buy almost anything (just be prepared to haggle).

Cafe Adriana by Hill Station

We discovered that Cafe Adriana has good food by accident. We just dropped by there to have coffee after a disappointing breakfast in Cafe Batirol. We saw calamares on the menu and ordered it as well. We were impressed by the taste and quality of both the calamares and its dip. Well, what can we say, Cafe Adriano is by Hill Station. Since we noticed that their breakfast menu is reasonable at around an average of 200 pesos, we decided to eat there the following morning. Cafe Adriana did not disappoint again. We had their 2 kinds of longganiza, bangus and baboy damo (wild pig). All were good and anything you order in the breakfast set menu included their top rated coffee. We also had their death by chocolate which sends you to chocolate nirvana. Btw, they have also tapang usa in their breakfast menu. They also have a number of Spanish items for their dinner menu. Their good food is complemented with good service and classic ambiance. When you walk out to the patio, the view is beautiful. The restaurant itself is located inside the Outlook Ridge Condotel by DMCI. The restroom was clean during our first visit but the floor was wet though clean when we had breakfast there.

Came here with family after a long drive home...HOY is a place to satisfy our palates and hunger from appetizers to main menu to dessert. The fusion of native Cordilleran delicacy with international cuisine made a modern twist to food that is uniquely great and fresh. Definitely the yogurt is something one should not forego. The ambiance of the place is great as well. This resto offers pasalubong items too!...

We were hungry, cold and wet from the rain so we stopped by here.Nothing really exciting, just comfort food with a bakery. My daughter had their chicken nuggets/tenders and I tried to order what seemed ok: the scones, the forest soup (I forgot the name but something like that) and the champorado with dried eel.The scones were too crumbly for me instead of being firm yet chewy; the soup was on the bland side and the champorado I wish had danggit or some other dried fish that was more salty - but that's my preferenceYou can come here for the varied menu plus they have really good fresh milk which we also ordered to-go for my daughter to drink with her cookies.. I hope they get to see this review, I'd recommend they have strong to-go cups since it was spilling all they way back to our hotelMight give it another try in the future and order full entree meals instead of snacks

The museum, its grounds and the docents are unique and refined - no question. The food at Cafe Sabel was uncreative and unremarkable unfortunately unlike Bencab's Sabel collections housed several floors above.Should I return with guests, I will do nothing more than take coffee to enjoy the valley view and brisk breeze and choose to take our dining money where our palette will be treated with decency.

My partner and I read the reviews and decided it was worth the drive out of the city proper. We took a grabtaxi there, and if you're not taking your own car, we'd recommend taking a grabtaxi there, because it's pretty easy to miss if you don't know what to look for.The food is ok. I guess it's better than the average you'd get in the city, but if you're crazy about (Italian) American food, you might be disappointed. But it's a cafe, not a restaurant, so that's something to consider, too. The cafe offers you a free slice of cake if you leave them a review on facebook. No worries, they don't screen your review or anything, you just have to show them you've left a review, and you can claim your free slice. I was surprised when they gave both me and my partner a slice of cake, I only expected one. We got the chocolate cake (we don't really eat carrot cake), and it was divine!Food aside, the place is really nice. It's far enough away from the city that there's hardly any ambient noise. You can sit down and read a book for hours, or have a nice conversation with whomever you're taking with you. The free internet's good, too. It was kind of dim when we were there, though, but I think that's because the place was designed for natural lighting, and it was a rainy day.The service was great! You'll have to go to the bar to order your food, but they do inform you if your order may take long, or if they're out of any particular item. Billing out was no problem, either.I'd recommend looking up the spa located right beside it (VIP Prestiz, I think?). Might as well do, since you've made the trip :) It's something I wish I'd known about before we went up. When we had brunch there, we'd already made reservations in a spa in the city, which we didn't want to cancel anymore.

Photo-worthy mountain view and interesting Mountain Province artifact displays. Good food too. The sardines pasta, lemon butter chicken and adobo flakes were recommended and did not disappoint. Their specialties camote pie and cloud tea alone - plus the view - are worth the 10-minute trip from the city. The library added to the homey feel. But we were not allowed to bring books from the library to our table.
