Reviews on Cafe food in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, Canada. Baddeck, on Cape Breton Island, is a great base for the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park and Louisbourg’s fortress. Easily explored on foot, Baddeck’s sole street offers an appealing array of accommodations, restaurants and stores and lovely views of Bras d’Or Lake. Take a kayak tour on the North River, visit Kidston Lighthouse or hike the national park’s trails, cliffs and coves. Back in the town, don’t miss the museum devoted to famed inventor Alexander Graham Bell.

The Herring Choker Deli is a bakery/cafe/deli located just outside of Baddeck and minutes away from the start of the world famous Cabot Trail. We serve fresh homemade breads, sweets, soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps!!!
Had the Tourist booklet and the ad attracted me because of the bagels and homemade bread. Well we had a bit of everything, the ladies were superb, nice country atmosphere and actually was there twice on my trip, told the lady , cant remember her name, told her what a nice place they have created for not only the tourists but for families. Thank you, will be back next year, or next time in Cape Breton.

Had a few coffees here, as well as a lunch to go. Staff were attentive and very friendly. Good place to get a bag lunch if youâre going on a hike or take away for a roadside picnic.

It was like being invited to enjoy breakfast at a friend's comfortable cottage. We went on two successive mornings and were totally satisfied with the experience on both occasions. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The limited menu was completely adequate for our needs, since we were not seeking a gourmet meal -- just a pleasant start to the day - and we were not disappointed.
