My friend and I found this place totally by accident, and I am very happy that we did. The atmosphere is charming, with tons of vintage (or possibly just old) paraphernalia decorating every surface. The staff is so very nice. After I had been there a couple times, they started to recognize me (not difficult, to be honest, since I'm a foreigner in the far north of Japan where the population is quite homogeneous), and now we chat whenever I go there. And the food is delicious. The menu isn't extensive. There are plenty of coffee and other drink options, given that it's a cafe, but the food is fairly limited and simple. Pasta, little pizzas (with non-traditional crust), simple sandwiches. It's also a bit difficult to find vegetarian options, although not impossible (I took my vegetarian friend there and she did alright). But it's all delicious. I especially recommend the pasta. My general experience with pasta in Japan is that it has this taste that just tastes Japanese... I've never quite been able to define it, and I don't prefer it. But they did it right here. I think they also make the sauce from scratch because it's the best part of the pasta. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to eat great unique flavors. Good large portions. Excellent service (as all japan) value for money-great! 4000 yen for couple for a cider,soup,and main course. We just loved it!

We traveled to Aomori by the end of Oct and have time to take a short coffee break inside Aomori JR Station. The coffee shop was not too spacious but enough for relax with a cup of coffee and cake. Nice Doutor brand coffee. At the same time, we saw some local students and a few foreigners waiting for the train also came to the shop as well.
