Worth the walk to enjoy a bit of peace in a verdant setting. Lovely grounds with places to sit and relax before or after your meal. Fruit drinks super fresh but otherwise the food is average. Oatmeal was mostly watery milk and a tiny portion of oats, the lasagne with a corn tortilla was well prepared and tasty. Staff are efficient, courteous and very professional. Loved the store to purchase healthy food products.

My first try at Roots was somewhat disappointing, given my well engrained âfast foodâ stereotype of contemporary food service. To my surprise, my second visit, this time with my wife, challenged the notion of how to really sink yourself and appreciate the craftsmanship of a well crafted meal. Roots is a small family-operated café that itâs âslowerâ service may often be misunderstood by the time the young chef spends on carefully crafting each plate. When it comes to defining Roots, I could probably sum it up to âTime and Placeâ, serving great food and building on the customers palate by really slowing down your pace setting the mood to enjoy Antiguaâs context and a great meal. My advice, visit Roots during the weekdays or Sunday nights when you can get the chefâs undivided attention, you wonât be disappointed!

The cafe also has a good selection of cakes and pastries.Thank you for your visit, and your positive comment we appreciate it !Always welcome!

Drinks offered more ice than fruits. The servings are really plentifully served but neither the taste nor the quality are noticeable. The soups were good. The roasted vegetable sandwich consisted mainly of burnt onions. The service was very slow even though there were only four tables with customers. Interesting second hand bookstore in the front.
