Located just North of Interstate 40 at the Washington Street Exit (Exit 69), the nationally recognized Youngblood's Cafe has been a favorite restaurant of Amarillo residents for over 12 years. We serve the finest Texas Cookin' including: Breakfast, Burger
Youngblood's was recommended to us. Stopped for a noon meal on a Wednesday. Place was almost at capacity but we were seated quickly. One of the specials was a pork chop w/mashed potatoes & gravy with green beans. I will typically order the day's special. Sorry to say the chop was a bit over done but everything else was good. My partner had the grilled chicken sandwich which she said was excellent. The owner is obviously very 'hands on' as he didn't recognize us, came to our table and introduced himself. That was a very nice touch. Banana pudding was the complimentary dessert. Clearly a stop worth making if you're in Amarillo.

This little place is right behind the Valero station on Coulter. The best eggs, sausage & potatoes Iâve had in a restaurant in a very long time. Get there early on Saturday. Itâs full by 9 am.

This place has a lovely, light ambiance and friendly staff. It is very small, with a few outdoor tables. The menu is not big and can get pretty busy, but it's a nice place to have a light lunch with friends. The coffee was good and the quiche I had was rich and homemade. Try it. Don't be put off by the fact that it's in a shopping center. It doesn't have that vibe at all.
