Verse maaltijden, met focus op gezondheid! Wij bieden ontbijt, lunch en een groot selectie aan gezonde snacks en lekkere drankjes.
Velazquez has both small plates and large and i think they are all good. I was traveling alone on business and found several delicious small plates. Two small plates makes a great dinner for one person and allows you to choose interesting combinations. The soft shell crab is especially good.Thank you for you nice comment! We do appriciate it very much.

I had managed to convince my fellow travellers that we needed to go to see Ruben's house, knowing full-well that there wouldn't be enough time for a proper visit, so as I let out a slightly over-dramatic sigh, I turned, looked around and suggested that we could get out of the cold by popping into here to warm up. Admittedly, the detour to see the house was a cover to get to this bar, as I'd read so much about the decor. Now, in mid-Summer, I imagine it's wonderful place to sit outside and watch the world go by, by in December we wanted to be inside. As soon as you step in you notice how charming the place is. You may also notice how small it is and when the three of us entered, it suddenly became crowded with tourists!A small bar to the left and a few tables and chairs on the right are all that's needed and my only grumble would be that we didn't get a table, but hey, it's their local not mine, so not much of a grumble. The decor is a mix of Art Deco from both sides of the Atlantic and every surface has at least some embellishment. The list of beers isn't so long as to drive you mad and the owners/staff were happy to offer suggestions. Unfortunately, there were very many more places to visit between here and our hotel, otherwise I would have liked to enjoy the atmosphere in the evening, but if I come back to Antwerp, I'd happily pop in again. I might even try to factor in enough time to visit Ruben's house. All in all, this is a lovely bar and the only reason for not getting 5/5 is that we didn't try the food.If you get a chance, peer over the bar to get a look at how they keep track of which table orders what. I'm sure it works for them, but for all we could tell, they might have been decoding secret messages.

Enjoyed brunch here, quite a few tasty vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered shakshuka, breakfast skillet, and walnut & paprika pasta. Shakshuka was very delightful (can't comment on if it's authentic). Pasta was slightly underseasoned but that was easily remedied and with a sprinkle of salt it was so delicious. If ever in Antwerp in again would visit!
