Letâs get the negative points out the way. Had to wait 45 minutes for meal to be served and staff did not know what a vat receipt is.Now the good stuff. Great atmosphere, clean table, large portion of well cooked food at a reasonable price. The new owners deserve a massive pat on the back.I shall be back

We are a family run restaurant and free house in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, yet only fifteen minutes from the city of Norwich. The ingredients for our menus are sourced locally wherever possible, we grow our own herbs, and our free range eggs a
Visited with friends early on a Thursday evening, a busy period pub with a separate but rather soulless modern restaurant. We opted for nibbles of olives and bread whilst perusing the menu and all ordered the special of chicken, bacon and sausage pie. The individual pies were of a generous size and accompanied with mash and seasonal vegetables. The pie was stacked with chicken but rather light on the bacon but enjoyable just the same. We finished off with deserts of cheesecake that appeared to be brought in rather than home made but again generous portions. Service was okay but could have been sharper and half way through our meal a group entered who appeared to be using the restaurant table opposite us to hold some kind of committee meeting rather than eat that I personally found quite intrusive. Good Evening Flying Demon Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Trip Advisor, sorry you thought it necessary to mark us down because the table opposite ended up using a table in our restaurant to hold a small meeting, I think I know the group that does this and I will share your feedback with them.Thankfully the âSoullessâ restaurant to which you refer is about to undergo the final part of its revamp and rebrand, perhaps you could give us another look in two to three weeks time to see if you approve of the new âChapman Roomâ where we are working hard to ensure that there is more soul than Aretha Franklin!!All the very best Alex

Charming English pub that has a heap of character, partly due to the surrounds and Roger, the barman. Roger entertains his customers with cheeky British humour and delightful parlor tricks. The food is freshly cooked by Julie in a spotless kitchen (my wife popped into the kitchen to thank Julie). Huge servings that were so good. The chocolate pudding (Carnival Cruises has a similar signature desert) is in my opinion better than Carnivals.

We decided to visit here for the first time to celebrate valentines. Upon arriving we used the door which was the one at the front of the pub. We were new to the pub so we stood at the door waiting to be greeted as we had booked a table. On several occasions a waitress walked past us but we were not acknowledged at all which was a bit of a disappointing start. Being complete newbies we weren't sure what to do or what the set up was. After a good 10-15 minutes of waiting we eventually decided to walk into the restaurant and ask at the bar. The pub seems like it has a lot of regular customers who knows the set up, but for those that dont its a bit confusing. During our meal we noticed several people going in and out of the side door which we werent aware of when we arrived. The feel and layout is a traditional pub, with a good amount of tables. The food was excellent quality and portion size, a little on the expensive side as our mains were £14 each but very nice none the less. I would really recommend the battered cajun chicken. The menu is really large with so much choice. The desserts we had were fantastic; I had an icecream brownie mousse cake which was so nice. Overall it was a good first visit and I would return, but I do think staff need to be a little more welcoming and more direction/signs up for people who have not visited before.

Serving a selection of fine ales, wines and spirits as well as soft drinks in a warm and cosy environment, all are welcome to the Queen's Head, including children and well behaved dogs.
Had heard good things about this place and friends in Wymondham invited us to join them for dinner.Friendly and efficient staff but very noisy environment. My whitebait and steak were fine but some of the other meals left much to be desired. My wife described her chicken supreme as average and our friends chicken had to be sent back as it was cremated. How can a chef possibly serve that up ?

The Green Dragon has been a traditional English Tavern since 1371, the present pub is a blend of Medieval, Tudor, Victorian and modern features. Justin Harvey became landlord in 2009 since then the pub has won several awards for Real Ale, Great food, Comm
Visited after trip advisor recommendations. My party were all underwhelmed with the experience. The service was incredibly slow, a 40 minute wait for food on a week day lunchtime? With no apology. Another table were complaining about the wait and they had arrived after us. My burger was a very sorry affair. A soggy white floury bap with a burger inside. That was literally it. No lettuce, tomato, gherkin, no relish absolutely nothing. It wasnât even toasted. Extras (cheese, onions, bacon etc) could be bought as add ons but I would expect more of a basic burger for £9.95. It was truly the worst burger bun I have ever been given in a restaurant. The salad was really small and basic with no dressing on offer. Sauces were brought in McDonaldâs style small paper pots. Small pottery pots would have been much nicer and more environmentally friendly. The chips were amazing though! Would I return or recommend? No!

My wife and i had dinner here on Friday.Yes its a bit dated but not an issue for us.....clean and staff friendly.Food was good and reasonably priced in our opinion.Only feedback we would give is that skin on sea bream would be better if crispy and cheese souffle for me could have been a little larger and was slightly over baked. If in area would visit again.
