A genuine Free House in an area of outstanding natural beauty. 80 Paces from the Grand Union Canal and 30 paces from Startops Reservoir. This pub has a truly unique atmosphere which has been retained during the recent refurbishment. New cellar and bar equ
Looking for a little pub after fishing that welcomed dogs. Found this place on google search and what a lovely village pub this is. From the outside it looked quite small but the pub itself is spacious with ample parking, decking area out back/grassed area with an old tractor for kids play and an aviary. Locals were helpful and friendly as were the staff. Food served all day/until late which was an added bonus.Menu has a good variety and is very reasonably priced. Even childrenâs menu with mini portions available.Food was cooked to order and was piping hot, portions are very generous, the lovely lady in the kitchen was very accommodating and checked food was ok. Very pleased to have found this little spot!

The Robin Hood Tring is a lovely 16th Century pub, right on the edge of Tring town centre. With its log burning stoves and cosy low ceilings, the pub delivers a warm welcome in every sense - plus an exciting menu, excellent real ales and good old-fashione
There are a good selection of pubs in Tring. Most have good ales, The Robin Hood has a range of Fullers plus a few guests. Terry keeps the cellar well. It has a friendly atmosphere, nice warm fire in the cold months and evenings, small courtyard beer garden for the better weather. This has recently been decked to take the slope off much of the yard.Parking is available on the nearby municipal car park. The food is good pub grub and more reasonably priced than most Tring eateries. A range of fresh sandwiches and baked spuds also available. Drop in Chess group meets every Tuesday & Thursday evening.Itâs a quirky room, unspoilt by modernisation with the tables in three main areas leaving the bar fairly clear. It is also dog friendly. Very much a traditional pub, rather than a restaurant serving beer. An excellent atmosphere most evenings and friendly staff. Thatâs why, of all the pubs in Tring to choose from, I picked this one to become a regular at.

I visited with some friends when we had been walking at the Ashridge Estate. This was a perfect spot to have lunch. A lovely village location just by the duck pond. Food and drink was excellent, staff helpful and friendly. Quite roomy although best to book if you visit in the evening or at the weekend.

I ordered 3 sausages and mash that was served in good time and best of all they had the required Coleman's mustard. The mash was very smooth and buttery, the onion gravy very tasty but the sausages had, in my opinion, been precooked and then reheated. This is to me, was obvious from the hard texture of the meat filling and firmness of the skins. Freshly cooked sausages do not taste or feel the same, whether they have been reheated or served cold. This mishap will not stop me from eating there again as there are lots of other items on the menu I could choose.Hi Paul,We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your sausages, we have them made for us by our local butcher who uses coarse ground sausage meat and traditional skins hence the different texture to mass processed sausages. We did ask you how your meals were on the day and had you had expressed your dissatisfaction at the time we would have been pleased to offer you an alternative.Kind regards Abi & Guy.

Sarah and I opened the doors to Beechwood Fine foods in 2010 in the style of a farm shop, selling and serving only the best British and locally sourced produce. Located in the heart of the traditional Chilterns market town of Tring on the Bucks/Herts bord
Great place to get coffees and other refreshments. Also many home-baked treats from Sarah, who along with Toby, own and run this emporium of specialised foodstuffs. Great cheese counter, and many other speciality foods. Also locally sourced in-season fresh fruit and veggies. Highly recommended, but sometimes itâs too busy to get a seat, itâs that good and popular.

Located in The Old Bank, in central Tring, Lussmanns is the locals' fish and grill restaurant, bringing ethical and sustainable dining to the high street. Dining is relaxed and your comments are welcome. We hope you enjoy eating with us.
High-ish expectations coming here in a small group, with the restaurant having such a strong local reputation. One or two dishes matched that - such as the Duck main course and the Cheese plate; others were very average - a bit like cooking by numbers, Iâm afraid. This was particularly prevalent in the starters: for example, the venison croquettes were of poor texture and tasteless, while the rabbit starter didnât give any impression of having been near a rabbit - nice sauces/dressings but very little spirit at the heart of these dishes. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to learn that your recent meal was a disappointment. Please do respond to my message sent via Trip Advisor so that I may investigate further. Best regards, Laura Easter ([email protected])

You will find the Greyhound in Wigginton in the heart of the village. Step in to discover a traditional pub of unique character with friendly and welcoming staff, well known for its wide range of real ales and fresh food cooked by our award winning chefs.
With the new head chef having been in place for three months it is clear that the village of Wigginton has again unearthed a treasure. With a spreading reputation, be prepared for a good crowd and booking is recommended. Last night was a Caribbean theme night with great music courtesy of local band Steve and the Night Walkers, who may change their name but retain a loyal bunch of groupies. The food was just fabulous, everyone savouring the goat/lamb/halloumi curries or the utterly succulent and flavourful fish dish. I assume it was a one off option, but please consider making a regular, even if only for Sunday lunch. In short, a great night at a wonderful locals' restaurant pub.Dear Delilah_Kite What an amazing review you have given us, we are so glad you were able to join us at one of our themed evenings here at the greyhound. I will make sure all your fantastic comments are passed onto staff members, and of course the Local band. The curries were only a special for this evening but we offer so many other great dishes on both the main menu and Sunday menu that are just as good! We hope to see you back at the greyhound for another one of our themed evening int he near future! Kindest regards The Greyhound Team
