We're a country pub and all of our menus showcase the best of Britain with plenty of fresh, local produce and dishes that tip their hats to the seasons. Whether you want to indulge in rich local game, fresh-off-the-boat crab or just kick off your wellies
Took a close friend here to celebrate her name day. Weather was awful but the ease of entry and parking made our arrival painless.Menu was amazing and the service perfect. Without my asking they even created a dessert to celebrate our visit. Will be back soon, the food, views, service and menu are excellent

EAT, DRINK & ENJOY !!... Beautiful Country Pub in stunning location... boasting a large garden & stone patio perfect for those summer evenings!! Creative British menu with daily specials & lighter lunch-time offerings... Amazing food, stunning wines, Visu
Really enjoyed the food and the service was very good - particularly noteworthy as the restaurant was busy when we visited.Unfortunately, the noise level was so high, it was virtually impossible to have a normal conversation. We noticed this as we entered the main restaurant/bar area and were temporarily relieved when we were shown to a table in the conservatory at the rear of the restaurant. However, we were located next to a large group who were very noisy (perfectly well behaved - just loud!) and it really was not possible to talk at times.I feel a little guilty providing a lower score for something not in the restaurant's immediate control but on the other hand, you can only report what you experience at the time and the restaurant is ultimately responsible for the table layout, decor and environment. We were looking for a cosy meal for two in a good, country, pub restaurant and did not feel the experience was fully delivered.

A quirky cafe/coffee shop situated on the Lambourn river with views of the fishing lakes & with ample outdoor seating for better days. Tea, great coffee, homemade cakes & light lunches all served on mismatched vintage china crockery. We accept card paymen
Positives- beautiful setting, locely cakes Improvements to be made - we got here at 10 as per google opening times and the current sign on the road and outside the cafe. However, apparently doesnt open until 10:30. We had plans with friends so it was difficult to change our plans. No apology when the owner arrived. It's the lack of consideration of other people's time that irks me! Just change your signs and Google!Apparently there was something wrong with the coffee machine so my cappuccino came as a latte, then our avocado toast came out with rock hard sourdough, which the owner seemed to think was absolutely fine to serve having mentioned it before she gave it to us. Anyone can get up on the wrong side of the bed but the long wait and poor service ruined it for us i'm afraid. Many thanks for taking the time to review us. Our opening times as yet are not on google. The road sign only goes out when we arrive everyday. Although we are open 10-4 through the week we are open 10.30-4pm on a Saturday, our opening times are on our Facebook page and on a sign in the window, all of which state 10.30-4pm. Iâm unsure how you were able to see the roadside sign on Saturday as I put it out myself when I arrived at 10:30. The Pineapple Palace (interiors shop) does open at 10 and has its opening times on google, maybe this is where you were confused? When I served your smashed avocado on toasted sourdough I referenced that it was crispy, I also offered to swap it out for any other bread option for you, which was refused. There wasnât a problem with the coffee machine but steaming coconut milk can be hard to get a foam on and may have appeared milkier, we would have changed this for you, if you had told us.I understand that you felt this wasnât up to our usual standards but itâs impossible for us to rectify for you if we donât know about it at the time. We have worked really hard to create a cafe that offers homemade fresh food and cakes, this means service will be slower as itâs being made up - especially when we are busier. I feel a personal jibe of âgetting out of bed on the wrong sideâ frankly to be mean and unnecessary considering we were not late.Enjoy your week

We went last week to this inn for a quick lunch to show our four visitors this very old and interesting inn, and church. As it was a hot day we had our very filled and delicious warm baps in the garden. We all (6) very much relaxed and enjoyed our food and the men enjoyed their beers Although the tables were almost all taken, we were quickly served . We then went on to the church. A truly memorable day.

A modern cafe in Hampstead Norreys, finalists in Channel 4âs Village of the Year 2018. It is a great place to meet friends, family or colleagues for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Enjoy some delicious, locally sourced homemade food and drink. The terr
In our quest to find a decent cafe for two aging but still young in the head bikers, we tried the Courtyard Cafe for an all day breakfast. This is a delightful little shop/cafe run by volunteers who are friendly and helpful and pleased to see us. The food was very tasty (great local bacon and meaty sausages). While not the biggest we have had, it was freshly cooked and with drinks £20 for two of us which is OK. It is cosy inside - but in the summer it would be great outside.Dear Bikers who lunchThank you for taking the time to review our cafe. We are delighted that you enjoyed your breakfast and we look forward to welcoming you again. Hopefully the sun will be shining and you can enjoy your food outside in the courtyard!!See you again soon.HNCS

We cater for dining parties up to 60 people.Function room available to hire for birthdays, weddings, christenings, etc. Also bed and breakfast.
The outside was slightly uninspiring, probably because it was winter, the inn sign was missing from its post, the front is basically a car park and location has nothing much around it. We were there for a family meal on the Saturday before Christmss and the inn was quite quiet - I guess most people were out Christmas shopping. It's main claim to fame apparently its Sunday carvery. The interior was unpretentious and the inn is very family-friendly with a large outdoor play area, which the younger members of the family enjoyed, enabling them to release some of their energy.I had prawns for a starter, then the steak and kidney pie, followed by apple and blackcurrent crumble and ice cream. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Perhaps two courses would have sufficied, but it was a birthday celebration. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had an enjoyable lunchIt was fun that there were goats keeping an eye on us from the adjacent farm

Welcome to the Bunk Inn, a traditional village pub full of charm and character situated just moments from Newbury Racecourse, minutes from Highclere Castle and just over an hour from London. Set in the beautiful village of Curridge, the 9 warm and stylish
Visited The Bunk Inn today with some friends. We always meet there as itâs always been a pleasant country pub in a nice setting with good food ........... until today. The food was nothing like we had experienced in the past. We opted for the âhealthy optionâ and have the Superfood bowl which we have had before. What was presented was what can only be described as a bowl of wet leaves with no dressing in a pool of water with no mint etc or anything as described, which would lend any kind of flavour to it whatsoever. The dinning room was completely empty which was unusual (now we understand why) for a weekend and the staff rather miserable less than enthusiastic. We then discovered that The Bunk has been taken over by the same group that ruined the only descent restaurant in Swindon The Weighbridge. That is now two restaurants that were delightful that have been completely ruined which I will not be returning to. Please advise me where you are planning on staging your next takeover bid as now Wiltshire and Berkshire have been spoilt, I would like to know where to avoid next.

Visited while on an overnight stay at the nearby Travelodge.Happy, friendly staff. Large chalk board menu hung on the wall over tables so if sat underneath, not a pleasant experience as people stare at the menu, you and your food!!Dining area appears to be stuck in the 1970s or maybe it's a theme?!Food ok, small portions. Over priced.

Chosen at random; as about half-way between our homes; and the positive reviews we saw deemed it a good place to meet up. We wasn't disappointed; location was good for us; venue was very pleasant; food we liked a lot; service came throughout with a smile. All in all, much fun and we'd go againThank you for your five star review. We are very pleased to hear that we lived up to your expectations and that you will return to visit us again. We hope to see you in the near future. Lauren and the team.
