On recommendation from various friends in Debenham we tried this chippy. Ideal if you are on your way home Debenham from Stowmarket, otherwise a 15 min trip. Either order by phone or as soon as you get there. Excellent fish and chips well priced and friendly service

After hearing about The Mix from lots of people I thought it was about time I tried it out myself. I was not disappointed. After two visits in two days I can safely say I sampled a few things and everything was fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced. There was gluten free options, a child friendly space and the staff are extremely accommodating. Will be using this for our catch ups from now on.

Visited this lovely country pub early on Saturday evening. We were given a warm welcome by staff. We hadn't booked a table but as it was early we managed to get a table but probably best to book if your visiting at a weekend. We ordered fish and chips and battered haloumi. Both were beautifully cooked and presented. The menu has a good choice and looking and what other diners had ordered and enjoyed everyone seemed happy. Southwold beer was well kept and good. Our next visit we'll make sure to try a dessert. Do try to visit this lovely country pub you won't be disappointed.

We called in to the pub on the off-chance of getting a table for lunch. Although it was just after mid-day, the tables were filling up with bookings and walk-ins, but no problem as we were given a table. The popularity signals good things to me.The pub has a nice, traditional and comfortable country pub feel. It is also dog friendly. The menu is varied with lots of tasty sounding dishes some of which are good old fashioned items and others more adventurous.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, it was hot, plentiful, nicely presented and tasty. The staff were very attentive, but didn't over-do things. My wife felt that her main course was not cooked to her liking, so without any hesitation the plate was taken away and replaced with a newly cooked dish, unfortunately this was also not to an acceptable standard for her, she felt it was over cooked and dry. Without hesitation the server offered her a different dish, my wife declined. When the bill came, much to our surprise, the main course had been taken off. For us the manner with which my wife's "complaint" was handled was a master-class in customer care.We will certainly go back and I am happy to recommend this restaurant to my friends too.

Fresh food with a focus on local and seasonal produce. Finalists at the Suffolk Food and Drink Awards 2019 Waitrose Good Food Guide 2020 Reader Recommendation
My first visit to this pub restaurant with my wife and a relative. It has a good ambience and the service was spot on.Good choice on the menu. Just had a main and dessert. We each had different main courses: duck, hake and beef. All very good. Two of us had cheese and biscuits (although we only had two of the three cheeses, as the other cheese had not been delivered that day), and my wife had the pannacotta (the best she has ever had anywhere!). Not the cheapest, with the cost of side dishes, but everything is excellent. Would be a great place to go to celebrate a special occasion.

17 Century freehouse and restaurant exposed timberframe dining room ingle nook fireplace with roaring log fire from light lunches to fine dining
We have visited on several occasions and as usual the service and food were faultless. We were a party of five for lunch, each of us ordered different items from the menu and everyone commented on how much they had enjoyed their choices. The young man who served us was professional and friendly which was an added bonus to a delightful setting and delicious luncheon.

Nice place but overpriced. £7 for a granary roll with very little filling apart from a stack of mayonnaise accompanied by a tiny pot of coleslaw. Don't think I will be visiting again.
