Our friends wedding was held here the other day. Stuart and Eddy made sure everything was absolutely perfect for the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff were really friendly and helpful also. The vicarage and grounds are absolutely stunning and a perfect romantic setting for a wedding. The food was absolutely delicious and the day flowed along at a really nice pace.Stuart and Eddy are absolute professionals couldn't recommend the old vicar highly enough

Came with my wife and 15week old daughter for an early breakfast. We were greeted through the door and the staff immediately made sure we had space and my daughter was comfortable. We enjoyed a lovely sausage and egg sandwich, coffee and a scone with jam and cream and coffee. The food and coffee were perfect and the staff were lovely and made a real fuss of my daughter making sure we had everything she needed. I cannot recommend number 10 cafe enough for the food, service and family friendliness.

We serve food in our restaurant and bar area weekdays 17:00 - 20:30, Saturdays 12:00 - 20:30 and Sundays in 3 sittings - 12:00, 1:30 and 2:30
If you book a room here make sure you dont mind staying up until 1am as most of the rooms are above the bar which has last orders at half past midnight. On the second night I stayed they had a karaoke evening which finished at 12.30 and then roudy drinkers for the next hour. I made the mistake of asking them when it would all be quite as I could do with getting some sleep which was received with a torrent of abuse by the landlady saying if I didnt like it I should #### off. Charming. We are a pub and all of our b&b rooms are on the 1st floor. We often have events in our pub, the particular one we had when you stayed was a charity event. This was an extra busy night and the pub was full which obviously increased the noise level. Our last orders are at 12pm and you have half an hour drinking up time. The music stops when the pub closes, as it does on other event nights, at 12:30.I would like to point out that you started asking when the noise was going to be stopping from 10:30 onwards. You were told each time you asked that it would stop when the pub closed. After being asked several times when the noise was going to be stopping the landlady must have gotten frustrated giving out the same information each time.We received no other complaints from other guests staying in our B&B rooms on this particular weekend.
Traditional pub with open fires, serving a lovely selection of refreshing beverages and real ale. Bar meals and snacks available daily through the season. Evening meals by advance booking. Bed and breakfast Accommodation from £35 per person based on 2 peo
I was the sole customer on a Thursday lunchtime, and I had the beer garden all to myself. After a very enjoyable curry and chips I lingered in the sunshine with my drink, luxuriating in the tranquillity. I had only clouds of butterflies for company, as they delighted in the garden's fragrant flowering buddleia. Bliss...The garden is scheduled for refurbishment, but I rather liked its relaxed, rundown charm. The staff are absolutely lovely, and work hard to ensure you have a pleasant visit.I must add that I passed by again on Saturday afternoon when the Inn had a very different vibe, with a boisterous party of revellers at the outside table. So, like many places it may offer a rather different sort of experience depending upon when you go.I was very lucky to enjoy the peace of my weekday lunchtime visit, probably the ideal time for a solo lady diner to call.

In a remote setting and takes a bit of effort to get there on a bike but many do.There is a bike rack outside. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and efficient.A good selection of meals, cakes, scones, sarnies, toasties and even Sunday lunches. The best bit for me is that it is so rare and pleasantly surprising to be given butter at room temperature that you can spread rather something that beats diamond on the hardness scale.I will be back.

Nestled on the north platform of the Stanhope terminus for Weardale Railway, Number 40 at Stanhope Station is named after the impressive number 40 steam locomotive that has operated on the railway throughout the years. Keeping the heritage theme, Number 4
Delightful...charming setting and railway carriage tearoom with outstanding cake and homemade cornflake tart with local ice cream. Delicious, with the best pastry case this side of Mary Berry. Terrific value for money.Thank you for taking the time to write this excellent review. I am glad to hear that you have enjoyed your homemade cornflake tart and ice cream. We hope we see you again soon.

The Durham Dales Centre is situated in Stanhope, Weardale in the heart of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). A unique venue with a range of attractions such as a tearoom offering homemade hot and cold meals, speciality coffees a
We fancied a trip out and a spot of lunch and the Durham Dales Tea Room, hit the spot. The car park and surroundings were full of pretty spring flowers. We did notice that parking is now restricted to a maximum of 4 hours, though that is really more than long enough. The tea room menu does appear to be more restrictive than it used to be but it is probably better to stick to a small selection of proven best sellers, than have a large selection of food which might not get used. As long as they have those delicious pies on the menu it suits me. As ever, the freshly made food was excellent. Light, crisp pastry and a deep filling of succulent, tender steak, creamy potatoes and 4 vegetables, plus gravy boat. All washed down with a nice pot of tea. We also bought a couple of scones to take home. It's a day out for us so providing standards don't slip, we'll keep coming back but we only go now and then. I can understand locals, who might want to get a reasonable lunch every day, without breaking the bank, would find the present menu very restrictive. Some of the centre's shops have changed and some units are empty. Whether this is due to a lack of trade or commercial expenses being too great, I do not know but it would be a pity to see the demise of this place.

A must stop for any biker. Good coffee in a great location which is located on a popular bike road which can take you to west towards Hartside and the lakes, or south west towards Middleton-In-Teasdale and Yorkshire. The owner is also an ex isle of man TT racer, who also runs a business which sets up motorbike suspension. This is motorbike setup is also recommended.

We have visited the Black Bull a number of times, the food is consistently good as is the welcome and the service. Four of us called in for lunch, I chose Northumbrian pork and apple sandwich with homemade potato wedges, honey mustard salad and mango mayo, what lovely flavours. My wife chose the Glebe Farm hot beef sandwich which also came which also came with the home made potato wedges, honey mustard salted and mango mayo, very tasty indeed. Our friends had the pan roasted free range chicken breast with potato dauphinois and pesto, once again lovely food. The Black Bull is a interesting place to have a look round, the service was pleasant and friendly, the food was exceptional and a lovely location.Well worth a visit.
