Linked to the Georgian house hotel which has an accommodation listing
The Georgian House is always a pleasant sight, bedecked with flowers and immaculately clean. It was some time since I had eaten there and this meal with several friends showed that the previous good standards have now become excellent. The qualities of service and politeness are quite exceptional in an area were such things aren't common. My starter, baked avocado with crab and salmon, was very good, the main course, a "surf&turf" sirloin with tempura prawns was absolutely perfect. Prices are reasonable, particularly for the quality provided. We will definitely be visiting again.

Just off the harbour Near Duncan Square
Every dish we ate was excellent. Menu is far more than typical pub food. A bouillabaisse that could grace a high-end restaurant, at a price that suggests the ingredients came ashore on the boats you can see through the window. Fine selection of craft beers. Hope the owners donât read this but their prices donât begin to reflect the quality of the cuisine. Worth coming to Whitehaven just for this.

We rang to see if they would accommodate us for food with our dogs as we had booked the manor stating we had dogs but was rung before our booking to say we can't bring the dogs as they were busy. No problem at the seacote were made welcome, fairly quite our steaks were very good, staff made a fuss of the dogs , it mato be dated but does that matter staff friendly and good food. Right on the beach if you want to walk your dog.

The Oddfellows is a I would say an unique pub. The local will always welcome the visitor as soon as they pop their head round the door. Great pint of Jennings to be had and if you are ever fortunate to get to try their steak pie ( only served once a month)! You have been lucky

Nipped in to The Brook on a whim and was definitely not disappointed. Although it's only small, it adds to the friendly, cosy atmosphere. Every single member of staff we interacted with made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed two amazing meals.I had the charred red pepper and garlic chicken tagliatelle and its was honestly the best pasta dish I have had for a while. The flavours were amazing and I only wish I had room to finish it! My partner had the steak pie with roasted veg and chips and it was nice to see a proper pie for once! Properly made!If you are in the area, the Brook is definitely worth a look and you won't be disappointed with the quality of the food!

We watched the dray men spend a couple of hours delivering new kegs in the afternoon, so you can imagine our surprise when at least two of the ales were 'finished' by 7pm. Judging by the surliness of the staff, they were probably too lazy to change a barrel. There were works leaving 'do's on so the place was busy and the background music was excellent. So, other than unfriendly staff we enjoyed the place.

The Globe is a traditional public house that is a listed building and has some original features. We strive to be very welcoming and original. we serve very good Home-Cooked food and a selection of real ales. This is not a fast food outlet, and your eveni

The Manor is a well situated, comfortable country inn, providing high quality food and en-suite accommodation. The 17th Century Inn serves a variety of real ales and is Cask Marque awarded. It also offers a private beer garden and a sports bar with a pool
Stayed at the Manor for one night before our Coast to Coast trip. Very friendly staff but rooms are tired and need an upgrade. Would probably try somewhere else if we went to St Bees again.Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you were not pleased with the standard of the room your were allocated. We do have four rooms that require the bathrooms to be updated which we hope to carry out during the winter months. I hope you are enjoying the Coast to Coast walk.
