On a drizzly day in Sheringham we were delighted to discover The Mulberry especially as they are dog friendly. We were amazed by the menu selection and when the food arrived we were definitely not disappointed. I chose the liver & bacon which came with buttery mash and a selection of vegetables. My husband chose the Cumberland sausages & mash and our friends chose sweet n sour chicken and ham, eggs and chips. The food was super, piping hot and generous portions. All served with a smile and some jokey banter which made us giggle. They were very busy and yet we never felt rushed to finish and free the table. We were offered coffee and dessert (another great selection) however, we had to refuse as we were full - definitely will try something on our next visit. Thank you!

Cafe bistro serving good home cooked food
Found this via Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. Well worth the short drive from Sheringham/Cromer to have a quiet tasty breakfast. Staff knowledgeable, friendly, chatty and attentive. Home cooked food that didnât fail to disappoint. Had lovely wicked eggs in a cheesy chilli sauce with lots of thick crusty toast, also had a breakfast burrito, sounds a bit odd, but tasted absolutely delicious. Cakes looked really appetising but we unfortunately were too full to try any. Would recommend a visit, so much nicer than your bog-standard ânormalâ breakfasts you get elsewhere! Thanks Clementines, weâll hopefully be passing next year when weâre on holiday to call in for some lovely food again!

Visited this quaint little tea room last week and it was lovely. Itâs quite a small place but the front and rear gardens are surprisingly spacious. We liked the mismatched China gave the place a quirky touch. Nice scones would definitely come back again.

This is an excellent place for coffee. Visited during the 40s weekend and it was busy. Coffee was great - the only downside was the unsmiling waitress who obviously didnât want to be working. A smile and a cheery greeting costs nothing!Hi Mel F.We're glad that you enjoyed your refreshments during the 1940s weekend, but disappointed you did not get the smile you were after. Our Modern Slavery Policy ensures that no members of staff are forced to work against their will. I'm sure that the staff member that served was showing the signs stress caused by running at 150% capacity during the busiest two days of the year for not only us, but the town. The 1940s weekend sees the towns population increase threefold, and as you can imagine managing this huge influx can be difficult and stressful for everyone. Our goal during this time is to ensure that everyone gets serves with a quality product and within an acceptable time under the circumstance, which judging by your comments we managed to achieve.

It seems this is rated the best in Sheringham. Rightly so on this Saturday night experience. Sensible menu, attention to detail and value for a beautiful meal. ( If you like Calves Liver, you are in for a treat.), Service good, drinks a little loaded, but meals such good value. Made our weekend

Set overlooking the North Sea on the Norfolk coast, The Ship Inn is one of the oldest pubs in Norfolk dating back 300 years. We have become one of the finest destination pubs on the Norfolk coast, offering a warm welcome with breathtaking sea views. Diner
We booked a short break here through Pets pyjamas which is a specialist dog friendly site. Our package included two nights stay, a free dinner for 2 in the restaurant and full breakfast each morning. We thought it was a very reasonable price for what we got. We knew the room was going to be quite small as this had been explained at the time of booking, so no nasty surprise there. It was small but spotlessly clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed including hair dryer, storage, toiletries and a nice selection of teas and coffee with kettle and cafettierre. The only issue we could raise would be the steep staircase which may not suit some dogs. Ours struggled a little. The bar was fine and several dogs brought in. The locals in the bar were friendly and chatty. We had our free dinner there which , in fairness, was fairly reasonable pub food. We may have been upset if we paid for it as it was a little over priced in our opinion. Breakfast each day was excellent. We thought the quality of each ingredient and portion size were far better than we expected. Add to this the friendliness of every staff member we came across and we really enjoyed our stay. We did pop into other very local similar establishments for either drinks or a bite to eat and very quickly realised we had booked and stayed in the right place. Plenty of parking and right on the beach. The view of the sea from our room was, however, slightly spoiled by the food van right outside our window. I guess in summer it is used for outdoor snacks but off season perhaps a bit of an eyesore. Overall very happy with our stay and thanks again to the lovely staff. We would have no hesitation in returning to or recommending the Ship Inn
