We don't pretend to be anything other than an uncomplicated, traditional country inn. Enjoy great home-cooked food in the relaxed, unpretentious surroundings of our little family run pub and leave contented and happy, that is all we ask!!
Delicious, freshly cooked food in a relaxing, very traditional, pub setting - surrounded by greenery. The staff were exceptional and the beer was great. A memorable experience all round

Consistently the best Sunday lunch ever. It's as simple as that . Cauliflower cheese is outstanding.

Mid-Work early dinner. Welcoming staff, nice traditional interior with a few well placed modern touches as well. Quite a few pubs nearby but pleased that I chose this one. My food tip is the Caesar Salad, which really is a meal. Good range of beers well presented.

We have eaten here on many occasions, the food is always of a good quality well prepared and presented. The staff are all friendly. I am gluten free, and they cater very well for this with a separate menu, with entry of choice.Thank you very much for your kind review. I am pleased that you enjoy your food and keep returning.

Visited on a hot bank holiday so didn't really fancy a full meal so just had a burger and my husband had the steak sandwich which were both lovely. The starter of lamb breast was amazing. Lovely restaurant interior and conservatory. We will definitely visit again

Italian friends from London joined us for Sunday lunch at the Blue Bell where we had eaten several times before but unfortunately this time our visit was very average. The Sunday roast was ok but not particularly hot. Staff were very pleasant but a disappointing compared to previous visits.

Another amazing trip here, we come on special occasions and it was my birthday this visit to M&C in Rothley. Tye, was our waiter. He was brilliant. Could not fault the guy. He was very consistent throughout the whole visit. Not only was the restaurant slightly busy, but the food was amazing! Not waiting long, cooked to perfection. Having a medium rare steak seems to be an issue across any restaurant you go to. As always M&C provided. Huge thank you to Tye, and the chefs for making my birthday great! Katiemay_xo, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Miller & Carter Rothley! We always strive for 100% satisfaction and hearing positive reviews and comments makes our day! We hope to see you again soon for another Miller and Carter experience fr om the Steak Experts!

This was our first visit and we quickly discovered why the restaurant has earned its excellent reputation. We were served drinks while we spent time studying the three course menu and were delighted with the three different nibbles that preceded the meal.Throughout the evening, the combination of flavours and attention to detail was extraordinary. We were brought homemade breads and butter before our starter and just how such a crisp crust was achieved with a feather light interior was beyond us.Service was efficient but unobtrusive and there was just enough theatre in the presentation and introduction of each dish to make the evening memorable. We could not fault a single item and will certainly be looking to return to try either the lunch or tasting menu.

Been coming here for years. Menu changed and not for the better. Very disappointed, side salad on sandwiches disappeared completely, brie bacon and cranberry sandwich so slathered in sweet cranberry goo it dripped everywhere and tasted only of sweet sauce.
