A cosy Cider Pub serving our own artisan made cider and perry along with lovely beers and of course the usual drinks. Our kitchen is open for food lunch times from Wednesday to Sunday and Thursday 6 - 8pm for Cider & Sausage Night and Friday 6 - 8pm for o
The menu choice was very limited but what we selected was very good and large portions. The food was well cooked and really enjoyable. There is a good choice of beers and even more of cider. This is a nice old fashioned pub. Thanks for taking the time to write a review Jim. Yes, our menu is limited - usually somewhere between 8 - 12 items. As all our food is homemade, we cook fresh daily, making up our menu from seasonal and where possible, local, produce. Of course we quite often use our cider and perry in our cooking.....

A group of 10 of us meet each year and stay at a self-catering cottage. We met here for lunch while we awaited admission to the cottage. The staff were friendly and efficient and we had an excellent lunch. The pub was lovely and had a log fire. It was decorated with old 40's/50's tin adverts which we all really liked.Would definitely go again and would consider staying in one of their lovely rooms.

I booked Dinner at The Potting Shed upon recommendation - what a find. I was travelling (and therefore eating) alone but......from the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome, and totally spoilt. Both my starter (moules) and main course (duck) were amazingly presented and totally delicious. Wines were selected to accompany both courses - with the merlot served in exquisite cut glass (dare I say it seemed to taste even better for it!!). I regret that I was unable to sample a dessert - hopefully next time?! Thank you so much for your warm hospitality, wonderful atmosphere and really excellent food.

Wad definitely worth the 35 minute trip to get there!

Called in for lunch and we have been before and found it ok. Well I did say I our chips were not home made but apparently they only serve home made chips. Well may be they use a chipping machine as they were all the same shape unlike hand cut chips. Also they found it strange we had visited twice in three weeks, well when I find some where I like I could go twice a week so I dont understand that remark. As pub food goes it was nothing special and extremely expensive for what we had. The pudding was just about ok but well over priced. Maybe it's just not for me as so many amazing reviews. As they say not everyone likes the same thing and that's a good thing.Thank you for your review. You are absolutely right, I do find it a little strange that you have visited us on three occasions now, and at best, in your eyes we have achieved "average" status, I really am grateful that you keep giving us another chance but I am afraid I have some bad news for you.All of our chips are hand peeled, hand cut and cooked here, we do not have a chipping machine and I am actually quite pleased that they are a uniform size, they then will cook evenly and be consistent, they will always be done this way here, so can I suggest that to eliminate the possibility that we disappoint you for a fourth time you take your custom somewhere else.Regards,Chris

We enjoyed an excellent meal here recently, during Herefordshire art week. The outstanding aspect was the choice of dishes on the menu. The ones we ate were all interesting, imaginative, well presented and very tasty. This, combined with a warm welcome and a cosy atmosphere, made our visit very enjoyable.Thank you for your lovely review and we hope to see you again soon.

A modern restaurant with a rustic feel in the centre of Ross on wye. For those with pure food indulgence we offer a relaxed, modern, European menu for light lunches, dinner, after work cocktails and bar bites. We aim to offer an intimate & relaxed ding ex
No 3 was recommended to us and we were certainly not disappointed. The menu was really interesting, the welcome friendly and absolutely loved the decor. We had cauliflower, lime and chilli fritters with a delicious side salad and other half had a really good beef brisket burger with chips (shared!) and equally tasty salad. We were then really taken with the amazing banana baverois...yum! Only criticism was the onion ring with the burger was very overdone to the extent of being to hard to eat without damaging teeth which was a shame in an otherwise amazing and faultless meal. Would happily return and recommend.

Orles Barn is a 17th Century barn nestled in the picturesque Wye Valley. Dates from the 14th century when it was one of a number of farm buildings on this site. We offer four charming rooms which are named after locally grown apple varieties, each with mo
The hotel is first class. The rooms are spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable with lovely white sheets. Everything has been planned with the comfort of the guests in mind. The hosts could not have been better, they were so welcoming and really care about their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, some of the best ever. The breakfasts were also brilliant. You certainly did not want much to eat for the rest of the day. When we got back to our room there was a vase of flowers and a card from our hosts Roxy and Matt. What a lovely thoughtful thing to do. It made our weekend.
Good food with reasonable prices. Fish and chip takeaway based in the beautiful forest of dean. Phone orders welcome Card payments over £5 accepted
