Friendly, Welcoming country side restaurant. Excellent food, service and fine beers! Great views of Peel Tower.
Nine of visited us in September 19 for Sunday roast and we were well looked after. The roast was excellent, the meat very tender, vegetables and potatoes lovely. Pity we live so far away, but am sure will return at some point. Many thanks for your lovely review and comments! We have become quiet famous for J.W. Lees for our Sunday Roasts!! We are glad we could help your family have a lovely time! We hope to see you again when your next in the area! Rob, James and The Team.

New bar offering quality cask ales & lagers, premium wines, wide spirit selection with cocktails. Featuring seasonal freshly prepared small plates.
5 of us went on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday.Got a good table next to the fire. We got looked after by two waitresses both of whom were greatâprofessional, friendly and very efficient. We chose some baked Camembert and bread and oil and then two waves of small plates with some fries over the next couple of hours. Everything was delicious and well presented. A successful night, in a good atmosphere. Highly recommended.Well done!

Local pub serving homemade food. Family and dog friendly. Real fire and selection of 5 cask ales and 30+ gins
Nice pub with a good selection of beers. Tried the food. Not great. The chips were soggy and oil soaked steak pie bland with no flavour. We go back but just for the beer.

My future daughter in law and myself were busy wedding dress shopping and popped in The Lounge in between appointments. We found a table and was quickly attended by the owner and advised we needed something quick and could he accommodate. He said that wouldnât be a problem and sure enough tour food and drinks arrived very promptly. Not only that but the food was delicious. My future daughter in law can only eat gluten free but the choice was very good. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you get and I will certainly pay a visit again.Thank you to all staff and management

Been dying to try this place out and today I was highly impressed! We opted for the charcuterie board with blue stix and an onion and garlic cheddar and it was honestly the best decision of the day. We destroyed the lot. Shared between three people, £24.95 was an absolute bargain! Itâs honestly the perfect spot for a bite to eat and a few drinks. The wine menu is great and reasonably priced too. I love food like this and having it not far from home is great. Thanks so much for the perfect afternoon. Your staff are great too!

Visited this restaurant on a week day, the place was empty when we arrived so we were surprised when were taken up stairs to a table. We assumed this was so casual drop in diners could see if the restaurant was busy or not. Decor really nice and tasteful in greys, loved the industrial lighting and on point vases, floral arrangement etc. My friend and i opted for the main menu as neither of us fancied anything on the special menu.My friend had the prawn & smoked salmon starter , I opted for the black pudding, we had the smaller portion for our mains, my friend the meat pie, chips and mushy peas, and I had the fish and chips with mushy peas. Both very nice and hot, my fish was especially good, lovely piece of fish and not over battered. We both declined desserts. As we left we found that the restaurant was very busy& all areas seemed to be full and as this was a weekday they are doing something right. Our bill was reasonable and we vowed to re- visit. The young staff members were very pleasant and helpful, I just wish the more mature lady was a bit more engaging and welcoming..

Informal Gastro Style Pub & Restaurant serving fresh food from a contemporary menu in the borough of Bury & Rossendale. Serving premier wines, spirits and beers as well as Real Cask ales. Modern and contemporary interior for a relaxed dinning experience.
We went to this lovely resteraunt on a whim the other day and found it changed from pub grub into a real gem. The food was superb and the atmosphere charming. I had a steak which was melt in the mouth and my partner had the fish and chips with a pea puree he enjoyed every mouthful. The sweets were equally marvellous. I would certainly have no hesitation of recommending this lovely resteraunt.Hi J8152KHmichaelsWe are absolutely thrilled to hear that your chance visit turned into a memorable experience, thank you for taking the time to leave us a sterling review! We have recently recruited a new kitchen team, so it's wonderful to hear that they are succeeding in putting their stamp on our fantastic food offering and it's being enjoyed by all our guests. Watch this space for a brand new winter menu!On behalf of the whole team, we can't wait to see you both again. All the best,Dan

I've driven on the Rochdale to Edenfield road on many occasions when the local motorways are congested and in doing so you pass the signs directing you off the road towards this place, but I've never previously had the time to explore but yesterday I did. Why oh why didn't I take the time out before as it's fantastic. Be aware though that the journey from the main road to the retreat is on side roads that need some TLC. That said ,it's more than worth it, the views are stunning, lush green fields, waterfalls just fab. Everything about this place is just, the building, the service, the so much to choose from menu and not forgetting the window wall in the restaurant which allows you too take in the views. The menu will have something for everyone, even the children are catered for, from not humble sandwiches to sumptuous dining. Everything is made to orderâ . Please don't make the same mistake I did and keep driving passed for all of those years, just GO.

We all enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch on our return visit to this lovely little restaurant. Three courses for £27 is very reasonable, especially when you experience the quality of the cooking & produce.A very interesting wine list, with bottles to suit all tastes & budgets, friendly service & wonderful food. Whatâs not to love?
