Just left here now after what can only be described as the best roast I have ever had!Really nice atmosphere and front of house staff were really attentive to. But the beef, wow.. So tender and tasty, cooked to a perfect medium rare and accompanied with that beautiful thick gravy. Was to die for! Huge Yorkshire pudding and crispy, fluffy roasties. The accompanying veg selection was fresh and very tasty. Was nice to be able to see the chef carving the beef through the little hatch, it looked devine.Unfortunately, we saved no room for pudding today but will definitly be back to try that bakewell tart. Thank you againWow, thankyou so much for your fantastic review, this is why we are all passionate here at the Queenshead and love what we do . The team work extremely hard to create the best experience possible and reviews like yours are a testament to all their effort and hard work.I will be passing your wonderful comments on to the team.Once again , thankyou and look forward to seeing you soon.Kind regards Andy and the team

We were stood outside the front door contemplating whether to go in or not when a gentleman customer was just walking out, he said to us that it was the best breakfast on the North Wales coast. We believed him but we were only having a light snack and coffee's. The bacon butty was excellent, so were the drinks. Lovely service from the happy staff.Thank you for taking the time to Write this lovely review Hope to see you again one day.Amanda

We went to this coffee shop for a quick bite to eat. We were waiting 25 minutes for our sandwich even though there was only 1 other couple in the cafe. When mine came to the table the waiter dropped half my sandwich, he offered to make me another but because we already waited for 25 minutes I said I would eat the half that he didnât drop. On top of dropping my sandwich he also used bad language which was unacceptable especially since my young son was also sitting at the table. The food wasnât anything special and when we went to pay for our sandwiches I was charged half cause I ate half a sandwich rather than not charge me by way of apology for the delay, bad language and dropping my sandwich. Would not recommend it

The Galleon fish & chip shop is a family owned business, trading with it's current owners since 1991, Andrew & Tina Whincup. The Galleon has been awarded many prestigious awards over the past 12 years, named Welsh Fish and Chip Shop of the Year 2002 by th
Glorious Bank Hols decided to take trip to the coast and try this fish and chip shop I have passed so many times before. Their crown didn't disappoint.... is there anything better than eating your supper on the front....? Better than that the fish actually melt in the mouth.... I couldn't eat it all sadly but definitely plentiful and satisfying. If I had to make one criticism (and its s personal choice) I prefer the more Chinese style curry sauce not one with the lumps in.... We will definitely return!

Attended today with 2 friends, busy but found a table in the window. Waitress attended to take drinks order and then returned for food order. Lovely pot of tea with a good sized cup. Food arrived really hot fabulous omelette really filling. Waitress very attentive and helpful, later checked to see all was ok.

The Cliffs Bar & Restaurant sits on the hillside above Tan Rallt Holiday Home Park, North Wales. In 2014 we undertook major renovation works to create a modern, light social space where every single table would have a stunning view out across the valley t
We visited here recently with some friends, who were staying on the caravan park. Weâd already seen online that the menu was very different to that when we last visited, so we werenât expecting the same level and quality of food this time.As before, the restaurant is in a spectacular setting, the decor is very nice and, once again we were the only diners there that evening! Thatâs pretty much where the similarities ended. The menu is pretty much pub grub now. Supposedly home cooked, but I think in some cases itâs a slight exaggeration. Meant of the items on the menu were unavailable, due to a delivery not turning up. How many times have I heard that excuse over the years in various establishments? The choice was pretty limited, but we managed to find something that would suit us all. At least we expected it to suit us all. Some of the dishes werenât of a particularly good quality, and of poor execution. I donât think a âchefâ had been anywhere near them!My pate starter was served with ordinary sliced white bread toast and the pate wasnât terribly exciting, and looked as though it had been sliced from a large supermarket slab of pate. My chilli main course had a very unpleasant sweet taste. I couldnât eat it. I declined a dessert. However, when the waitress brought the sweet board across, hardly anything was available anyway. We ordered coffees, but when the waitress brought them over they were all cold. It turned out that the âchefâ had gone home and turned the power in the kitchen off! They were replaced with hot ones, and we werenât charged for them. Overall it wasnât an enjoyable evening. The poor waitress spent much of her time apologising for the shortfalls. She did her best, but sadly there was too much wrong, for us to consider returning.Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at The Cliffs. We are sorry that your meal on this particular evening did not meet your expectations. We assume that the current management was not in charge on your previous visit. The current operators have been in place since September 2017, and in agreement with the park owners, changed the menu to accommodate families and a move towards a more casual dining experience. Many of the items on our main menu are home-made, for example Lasagne, Curries, Chilli Con Carne, Soups and many of the desserts. We would not state on our menus that such items were home-made if they were not (Trading Standards). The day of your visit was immediately prior to the launch of our new menu for 2019, and as such we acknowledge that there were several items missing from the menu offered on the night. As a matter of good customer service, you should have been made aware of the missing items on the menu prior to ordering and the reasons why. The excuse of a failed delivery was not correct and may have been a matter of miscommunication between the chef and our waitress. The pate is one of our most popular starters and bought in pre-portioned from our supplier. It is usually accompanied by toasted baguette slices (another issue related to menu change). You should have been informed about this substitution. The chilli is made to our chef's own recipe but may not be to everybody's taste. It does not appear on our new menu, having been replaced by other new dishes. The new menu, which launched the following evening, featured six home-made and one bought-in dessert (gluten-free chocolate fudge cake), however we realise that these items were not available at the time of your visit. With regard to the coffee problem, our previous coffee machine warmed the cups before service. Our waitress (back for Easter break) had not used the new coffee machine and was unaware that the cups needed to be warmed using hot water before filling. Staff training has now taken care of this issue. In summary, your visit to the Cliffs on this occasion was a bit of a disaster! A combination of errors, the problems arising from a menu transition, and some gaps in staff training. However, if you would reconsider returning and trying The Cliffs again, we would be happy to see you and invite you to have a three course meal with a bottle of wine for four persons on the house. Please contact the restaurant manager on 01492 511633.Thanking you again for your input, we hope to see you soon.

We spotted this restaurant and really fancied some nice fish & chips. We were not disappointed, the service was speedy and the food was excellent. This is a really nice traditional fish and chip restaurant. Based on our experience I would highly recommend a visit here.

Having visited different Wetherspoons before we decided to try The Picture House in Colwyn Bay........ wandering around all 3 floors, no clean tables set up ready for new customers, the whole place had an unkempt look, not appealing at all.......we walked in looked around for a clean table,,, then walked out! One of the worst Wetherspoons I have ever been in!thank you for your review.I am sorry to hear that you had such a poor experience, I can assure you that this is not our usual standard and I would like to apologise for this.I hope that if you are ever back in the area you will give us the opportunity to change your opinion of us.
