Traditional tearoom, within our nursery and plant centre at Hadfields of North Walsham. Serving tea, coffee, light lunches and homemade cake.
We are regulars to the Garden Centre and often have a break with a cake and a drink and until the heatwave, a baked potato. Thoroughly recommended.

Really excellent restaurant. Busy, yet service was very good. Food was even better. Prices better still. Pretty, chintzy decor and very comfortable. Breakfast is served until 3pm, but the lunch dishes are too good to miss. Excellent tuna mayo salad, and delicious home made meat pie chips & peas. Couldnât manage a pud, which was a shame because the deserts passing our table looked seriously good. Try this place, itâs a lovely surprise in a somewhat unexceptional garden centre.HelloMany thanks for your review.I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to us. We hope to see you again soon

Once again a great evening. The food is tasty, the staff are lovely. The Italian Gentleman has served us on the last 4 occasions and is fabulous. Not only did we think so but I could hear other customers commenting about how good he is. Yes it is in the middle of a holiday camp, however once you are in the restaurant you would not know that. We like it so much we had our wedding reception here 3 years ago!

We've been eating here for many years and have always found every aspect of our visits excellent. Even on the one occasion when something went wrong it was dealt with professionally - but not this time. My husband ordered mixed grill and everything was fine with that. I ordered the sirloin without the chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions rings but with a salad and jacket potato.. When it came it looked a bit sparse and I thought they won't charge full price for this and had everything been ok I wouldn't have minded. I took a bite of the steak and it was delicious but then I noticed there was an inch thick layer of fat around the top and sides . I cut that off and took another bite and it was mostly gristle. I left that and took another bite which was the same which I left too. I thought to myself, if I'm going to say something I'd better do it now as by this time there was only a few bites left. I called the waitress and explained the problem and she took it away - no âI'm sorryâ,  no âcan I get you something elseâ. Nothing!!!! So I finished off my husband's chips and we asked for the bill. I couldn't believe my eyes when they'd charged full price for my meal. I refused to pay. I was told by a waiter that I had to pay as I'd eaten half of it but he could offer 10% off. I didn't find that acceptable but he kept arguing with me, the waitress then joined in so feeling embarrassed we paid by card and were given a receipt. Then the chef arrived. I thought he'd he'd come to apologise or at least to see what the problem was- how wrong I was. He said something along the lines - âI only buy the best meat and how do you think your complaint makes me feel?â He went on and on and was extremely aggressive. I tried to calm the situation as it was now three people (the chef, the waiter and the waitress) having a go at me. His bullying tactics were relentless and he would not stop to let me have my say. I was getting upset by this time and decided just to quietly leave. We got outside and the chef shouts â I'M CALLING THE POLICEâ We went back inside to ask why. When we produced the receipt the waiter informed us that he had annulled the transaction. In hindsight we realise we should have checked the receipt but we just wanted to get out of there. We paid and left AND we didn't get the 10% discount. To top it all on our way out the waitress chuntles âand £15.99 is cheap for a steakâ Unless you don't mind being bullied, embarrassed and humiliated I would advise you do not complain in this establishment. It is more than a shame as you can see from my previous reviews that we've had some wonderful meals there.

We revisited here having previously had a great meal. The pub, garden and beer were very good. However, the food was average with the pizzas being a bit sloppy. Left feeling a bit disappointed but perhaps we were just unluckyIâm sorry to hear about your bad visit with us in May, we didnât know of any problem but hopefully the brand new stone base pizza oven we have installed, has put this problem of sloppy pizzas right. Please contact us at the pub when you revisit the area so we can try the new oven out on you Many thanks and once again apologies Paul

An absolutely wonderful restaurant. Relaxed and happy atmosphere with such wonderfully attentive staff. Food was stunning and the surroundings were cosy and charming on a drizzly day. An absolute gem of a place to which we will definitely return. Full and happy tummies all round!

The fish and chips from here are the best ever. Always freshly cooked hot and perfect. Not like the chip shops which have too much batter and air, the batter from here is just right and always good to eat. Well done.

Our Two AA Rosette Fine Dining Restaurant is open to residents and non-residents for breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner daily.
We ate in the restaurant all three nights we stayed at the hotel, all the staff were cheerful and made the effort, not something that comes with the territory in the UK normally.Lovely dining room crisp white linen and enough space between tables. The last two nights the food was excellent, fresh ingredients, cooked as asked, vegetarian options for those who need that as well.Carefully selected wine list with a South African slant, the SA wines were very good, but it does need a bit more variety and a few more by the glass, quite a few countries are not represented at all.But the reason I withheld an excellent rating was that the first night dinner was not as good, chefs night off ? it did appear that the dishes had been prepared earlier and the veg was tired as was the sea Bass and the difference to the other two nights was quite marked, nice pre dinner drinks and canapes in the Art Deco bar and mine host with some funny stories all in all very enjoyable and it is not nouvelle cuisine which is a boon.

We booked a short break here through Pets pyjamas which is a specialist dog friendly site. Our package included two nights stay, a free dinner for 2 in the restaurant and full breakfast each morning. We thought it was a very reasonable price for what we got. We knew the room was going to be quite small as this had been explained at the time of booking, so no nasty surprise there. It was small but spotlessly clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed including hair dryer, storage, toiletries and a nice selection of teas and coffee with kettle and cafettierre. The only issue we could raise would be the steep staircase which may not suit some dogs. Ours struggled a little. The bar was fine and several dogs brought in. The locals in the bar were friendly and chatty. We had our free dinner there which , in fairness, was fairly reasonable pub food. We may have been upset if we paid for it as it was a little over priced in our opinion. Breakfast each day was excellent. We thought the quality of each ingredient and portion size were far better than we expected. Add to this the friendliness of every staff member we came across and we really enjoyed our stay. We did pop into other very local similar establishments for either drinks or a bite to eat and very quickly realised we had booked and stayed in the right place. Plenty of parking and right on the beach. The view of the sea from our room was, however, slightly spoiled by the food van right outside our window. I guess in summer it is used for outdoor snacks but off season perhaps a bit of an eyesore. Overall very happy with our stay and thanks again to the lovely staff. We would have no hesitation in returning to or recommending the Ship Inn
