Booked the steak night on Friday 25th October and were not disappointed. Ordered Chateaubriand and when this arrived looked amazing. The taste matched the look and we were extremely happy. The desert of banana baked Alaska and the deconstructed cheesecake were also excellent. The waitress service was excellent and with full view of the kitchen could see exactly what was going on a busy working kitchen. The cocktails were good and the old fashioned finished the night off well. Would definitely recommend. A valued addition to this area. Can't wait to return.

From the time we met Jon the happy barman it was obvious that this was a pleasant place to be. The lovely slim girl who assisted us was obliging and equally pleasant . The menu is typical of the traditional pub and the children loved their chicken strips . Regrettably the famous Elliot fish pie which I ordered was disappointing as it was a bowl of mash covering a limited selection of creamed fish. However all the other adults enjoyed their meals so letâs give it another try

This is the best place for breakfast in the area. Staff are brilliant, in particular Rachel & Bernadette who always go the extra mile. Great customer service and delicious food. Would highly recommend.Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We were over for the races at Haydock and we were looking for somewhere for our evening meal. Found this place on trip advisor.. We visited on Friday next and it was a set menu which had plenty of variety plus some specials.We both enjoyed our selections but the desserts were fab We found the prices to be reasonable for the quality of food.The staff were all lovely and attentive without being intrusive.Now that we have found this place we will definitely go back next time we are in area.Would recommend booking.

Cosy pub much bigger than it looks, excellent attention from waiters and waitresses from the minute we walked in. The hardest part was choosing what to have, brilliant menu and specials all well priced.The food we had was lovely, proper chips as well as high quality food! Canât wait to go again.

A cafe in Newton Le Willows under new ownership since April 2019Iâve been in several times and itâs undergone a bit of ârefreshingâ under the care of the two new lady owners Food and service is really good - always welcomed with a smile and the prices are reasonableOne slight downside it could be open more - longer hours and Sunday and Monday Thank you for your review. Glad you like the changes we've made, more to come over the next couple of months. Keep an eye out!!We have extended the opening hours by serving food until (2.30pm was previously 1.30pm and staying open until 4pm (was 2.30pm previously). Up until now there has just been the two of us, whilst we settle in, with a bit of help extra help from 2 young students at peak times. We have looked at opening on Sunday and/or Monday but footfall is slow on the High Street on a Monday and that is our baking day!!! Which leaves us with a day off on a Sunday. We are looking at the possibility of recruiting a 3rd team member which would give us more flexibility and perhaps the opportunity to open for Brunch on a Sunday. Me, my wife and 2 teens visited here on Wednesday 4th September 2019. We were a little apprehensive after reading some of the previous other reviews which were not complimentary. Those reviews proved to be ridiculous. The fool who commented that the waitress wasnât rushed off her feet on his visit sums of the idiocy of some of these reviews. Last night the waitress was brilliant. She wasnât rushed off her feet because she is a professional! She handled our requests excellently. I guess being French explains why she was a little more laid back than some would prefer. I am fortunate to have been able to travel all over the world (check out my other reviews) and rarely have we had food this good, presented so well at this price range. This food is easily equal to that if some fine dining, 5 star restaurants I have eaten in. If this was London the price would be massively more expensive. The menu is limited simply because everything is cooked on site (in an open kitchen). I could open a restaurant with 30 main dishes if it was all microwave food. This restaurant is the real deal and we will be back. Ignore the reviews from the goons who will always find something to complain about. Try this place out and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Lovely Sunday Lunch at Amigos. The staff are attentive and very accommodating and the lunch was gorgeous plenty of beef and the roasties were to die for!The crowning glory was the tiramisu- home made and I can honestly say THE best I have hadThank you to Ali and the team. I will be back!
