We are located in the beautiful small village of Aston Crews, offering a freshly cooked seasonal menu filled with local ingredients. The Penny has some exceptional views of the Black Mountains and the Malvern hills from the beer garden (with children's pl
We booked on a Saturday evening. The Inn is in a great location and lovely inside. There were four of us and we ordered drinks at the bar when we entered. One of these drinks was a cup of tea. We were shown to our table and assured that the cup of tea would be brought along. We ordered our meals and waited. The tea wasn't brought over by the time I had finished my pint. I had to go to the bar and request it. The original barman that we placed the order with was apologetic and said it had slipped his mind. The tea was brought over soon after.Whilst we were waiting for our food to be brought to us, another gentleman from behind the bar came over with some bread and olives. He said these were complimentary because our food order was taking longer than should be expected. (We thought this was a nice touch.)Our food was served to us a little while later. All four meals were delicious. Whilst bringing us our food, the waitress asked if we required any sauces. We did and she said she'd bring them over. She didn't! We ate the meals without the promised sauces. So, in summary, the food is just great but little touches of service could be improved. We would all definitely return!Hello, thank you for your review, sorry about the service it is now improved. Have a great weekend.

Country Pub and Dining specialising in authentic, home made food using local, fresh produce as much as possible. Located in a delightful village setting just mintutes from junction 4 of the M50. Children, dogs and muddy boots are welcome as long as they a
Called in for lunch and we have been before and found it ok. Well I did say I our chips were not home made but apparently they only serve home made chips. Well may be they use a chipping machine as they were all the same shape unlike hand cut chips. Also they found it strange we had visited twice in three weeks, well when I find some where I like I could go twice a week so I dont understand that remark. As pub food goes it was nothing special and extremely expensive for what we had. The pudding was just about ok but well over priced. Maybe it's just not for me as so many amazing reviews. As they say not everyone likes the same thing and that's a good thing.Thank you for your review. You are absolutely right, I do find it a little strange that you have visited us on three occasions now, and at best, in your eyes we have achieved "average" status, I really am grateful that you keep giving us another chance but I am afraid I have some bad news for you.All of our chips are hand peeled, hand cut and cooked here, we do not have a chipping machine and I am actually quite pleased that they are a uniform size, they then will cook evenly and be consistent, they will always be done this way here, so can I suggest that to eliminate the possibility that we disappoint you for a fourth time you take your custom somewhere else.Regards,Chris

My friend Claire and I stopped at the Italian Kitchen halfway through a bike ride. We had scones and tea, really nice. The staff were lovely including the owner, we will be visiting again when we are out this way.

This is the second time that I have visited Erols Cafe(first being in June last year) and I know the lovely staff there including Dawn the manager, Asim the chef, Lisa the barista and Sophie the waitress and my best friend was there too with her family. The cheeseburger with chips, salad and coleslaw was absolutely delicious as always and the ice cream was yummy too. Well done Dawn, Asim, Lisa, and Sophie for making this a wonderful cafe and well done to my best friend too who made my day special. Will definitely be back soon!

Popped in with hubby for a light lunch (panini with salad) and a coffee each - £15. Loyalty card for hot drinks (buy 9 and get 10th free). Pleasant service, clean environs. Small but well-stocked deli. Bought 2 sausage rolls to take away, hubby loved them. Unisex toilet (key is hung up in a small box near the counter).

We were staying nearby, with friends and wanteda convivial Sunday lunch.TA reviews looked good so we made a reservation. From the first phone call and right through the meal we were impressed by the cheerful, friendly staff - they are a credit to The Kings Arms.Sunday lunch offered us a choice of beef, turkey or pork in regular or smallsize portions. Lamb roast (for a £1 supplement) was listed on the specials board, but sadly not available by the time we ordered.Portions were plentiful - 3 of us ordered the regular size but I wascontent with small size portion and that was plenty for my smaller appetite. A big dish of fresh vegetables and another of cauliflower cheese arrived for us to share - more than we could possibly eat.The pub was busy - no surprise - but service was prompt after we had ordered at the bar. This is certainly deserving another visit when we next come to Newent. The billfor 2 of us -one regular and one small roast, 1 and a hlf pints of beer, came to about £22.50 plus tip. Thanks for your support and great comments best wishes Chrissie and Wayne and all the KA team

Very impressed by the food quality, value and portion size. Cheerful and friendly service and yes they do accept cards now. It would be wise to book ahead as this is popular with local people and we have heard from different people that this is held to be the best restaurant in town. The roast lunch was wonderful, with delicious roast potatoes and an excellent assortment of vegetables. The steak and onion pie had generous filling and crispy golden pastry and was much praised. We also greatly enjoyed the chocolate roulade and cherry pie. We felt very welcomed as a family with young children.

The sybarites among you may well have heard of Gloucestershire's Three Choirs vineyard, England's most noted wine producer. And if you're loving the wine, you'll be rather excited to hear that you can dine among the vines too. The Three choirs brasserie i
We went to Three Choirs vineyard for their tour followed by lunch. The tour was very informative and interesting with a sample of 4 different wines (not just a thimble full either)! The lunch was excellent with real quality food and a chance to try more wine. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

A traditional rural pub, surrounded by countryside but easy to travel to. The Kilcot was built in the 1690's and was totally derelict 10 years ago. It was bought by a local family and is still run by that family. The pub was refurbished by local craftsmen
We last visited in 2013 and although there are now different owners the experience is still excellent. From the time we arrived until the time we left we were treated like friends. We were the same group that met there in 2013 but sadly one member was not with us. Hey ho, we loved our meal and hope to return sooner. All five of us chose different meals and we were all pleased with our choices. Highly recommend.
