Really lovely atmosphere and a wonderful welcome. Food is very good, fish and chips excellent and rack of lamb delicious. Might be nice to have a kids menu with slightly smaller/cheaper portions, itâs a little pricey as it stands when eating with kids. Overall though, would definitely recommend this place! Thank you for your kind review we are very pleased you enjoyed your meals. We do not have a children's menu but we do offer half portions of most of our dishes for children and if asked we will chop and change our menu ( when possible ) to accommodate them.

A very pleasant, bright atmosphere and attentive staff helped make this a very enjoyable evening. The dishes were quite good, with emphasis on the seafood, of course, and the only difficulty encountered was a somewhat lengthy wait for our entrees. Fair pricing and a welcoming oasis on the Knoydart peninsula!

Heard so many good things about this place as a tearoom and having stayed in a property over the road from it I can confirm that it is very popular with both locals and tourists alike. We needed sandwiches for a lunch on the hills and they were very happy to oblige, making up fresh any sandwich off the âeat-inâ menu and wrapping it. Delicious. Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. Weâre glad you enjoyed them. Hope to see you back,Best wishesIsla

After arriving at Mallaig by ScotRail on lunch time we were keen for a bite to eat. Just near the station we were lucky to find this great little place. It was very busy yet the staff were friendly and polite and helped us find a table. There was only a large six seater free and they asked as we were a two, would we mind if they placed another couple on the table if needed - it was no issue at all for us. The menu was a great selection and I really enjoyed the food we got. This is definitely a place I would recommend.

Wonderful seafood and excellent service: so disappointed to see that the business is for sale. The langoustines were so fresh and delicious and the haddock was superb. Highly recommended as long as the existing management and staff remain in place.

Although a little shabby around the edges, the staff were friendly and we had a lovely meal. Unfortunately the open fire was beside our table and it would have given a better impression if it had been cleaned out and reset rather than a grate of ashes with paper and sticks lying on the hearth.

My husband and I had the good fortune to visit this restaurant twice, once in June and again in August, also once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the staff was excellent and food delicious. My husband has a seafood allergy and finding a place with good non-seafood options can be challenging in the area. This place, I can highly recommend.

We reached Mallaig on the Jacobite Express steam train. Reaching this upstairs restaurant, we were asked if we were on the train so that they could make sure that we were served with plenty of time to get back.A short but varied menu with a couple of specials is matched with a much longer drinks menu, including some craft beers. My wife had the Cullen Skink (a Scottish broth of smoked and plain fish with potato in a creamy sauce) while I had sea bass with crispy capers, mussels (in the shell) and samphire in a lovely sauce, with chips in a separate bowl.We both finished off with a lemon posset served with fresh strawberries, strawberry ice cream and ginger crumb.Everything was fantastic: itâs not often you get fish cooked such that not only is the skin edible, but that it would be a crime not to eat it, as it was so delicious.Run by a lovely family, service is efficient and friendly.A definite hit.
