Being coeliac (gluten free) I'm always a bit worried when it comes to chip shops bit I asked the staff here and was assured that the chips are cooked in a separate fryer to everything else, so they are definitely gluten free. The cheese was also gluten free and I had no issues at all after having chips and cheese from Valerio's. Don't know whether they do gluten free nights or if they have gluten free batter that they can do, but the chips are definitely ok!

Lunch with friends.Food: average.Service: okay apart from noted below. Soup de jour devoid of taste. No butter with bread. Requested, but waitress forgot. Had to go to till to remind her. 5 mins later it arrived. Soup cold by this time. Beef Stroganoff more like Gristle Stroganoff.Would never return.

I keep meaning to post our thanks to the Crown for helping out with an important family event in March We were let down at short notice by a local establishment and with little warning the Crown put on a good spread for our important family event in the function room The food provided was high quality and plentiful The service was excellent and supportive All the staff were friendly and helpful It was always a favourite pub but this event went beyond expectations Overall thanks all round

called in with the mother in law on our visit to Scotland. was a bit surprised to see the upstairs restaurant it was not as I expected it was very old worldly and quirky. staff were amazing very friendly......food delicious cant fault it hot and tasty would highly recommend.. plenty to choose on the menu suits all tastes

Cosy bistro set within the Scottish Equestrian Hotel. Outside seating in the summer house for those rare occasions that the sun comes out. FANTASTIC LOUNGE AREA WITH SUPERB WOOD BURNING STOVE. views from the bistro on to the Horse yard and ridding arena.

This eatery caters mainly for visitors and participants of the riding centre. It suits my mother in law as it is local to her home. Food is generous in terms of portion size and the menu is varied. Prices reasonable. Service with a smile. The environment both inside and out is a bit tired so personally I wouldn't choose it. But it provides a venue for a convenient family lunch.

First time here. Dropped in for lunch and liked the atmosphere with the stone walls, skylights and modern furniture. I ordered the chicken caesar salad. Very prompt friendly service the food arrived quickly and was really delicious with a generous helping of chicken. The follow-up chocolate tray bake was totally more-ish and lovely coffee. So many things on the menu I'd like to try. Will be back!

Dinner didnât get off to a great start last night. Surprised to be told that there was limited availability and substitutions on menu. Not great planning for a earlyish Saturday night booking. Ordered chicken only to be told after about 10 minutes none left! I ended up with the very last fillet steak that one of my dining companions had ordered but kindly let me have as nothing else suited. The mains were mediocre at best. My daughters mash potato was served stone cold and only replaced once sheâd finished her meal. The dessert menu had one item not available. On recommendation of the waitress we all ordered the chocolate soufflé. It came crispy on the outside and mine was totally raw inside. Disgusting! Waitress tried to tell me it was supposed to be like that!

This is a very pretty and welcomig cafe in Lanark. The staff were really friendly and the Menu looks very good with interesting mix of Mains and snacks, but we were just in for some cake and drinks. Light and gooey Chocolate Hazelnut Cake slice went down a treat and the Chocolate Orange Brownie had lots of chocolate chips and packed a punch of orange flavour too. We will definitley return another day for lunch. Well worth a visit.

Popped in for a little treat and wasn't disappointed. Very friendly people and a lovely welcome. Nice variety in the Menu and everything is made fresh to order. Good selection of home baking too which all looked delicious. We had the home made Lentil soup (you get a choice of serving size, as well of types of soup) which came with lovely brown crusty bread and some salad, and a baked potato with sweet chilli chicken which came with home made coleslaw, crisps and some salad as well. My daughter enjoyed her potato but was expecting the chicken to be warm, like the potato, but it was very tasty anyway. Drinks were a Diet Irn Bru and a Mug of creamy hot chocolate - you get a choice of size of drinks too, which is another nice little touch. Prices are very reasonable and there was a constant turnover of people visiting. Nicely decorated inside with plenty of room too. Would go back and also recommend it if you are in the area.

We have been coming to the Inn on the Loch for years, it never disappoints. The food, staff, and service are exceptional. Very accommodating for families and a great selection of meals, the Sunday roast being a personal favourite of ours! Would highly recommend a visit, worth every penny.
