Ate here tonight after reviewing two or three other places in the town. This eating establishment (also known as Belters Bar) serves very good quality pub food at excellent prices. Although probably known more for its burger selection, my other half and I had a menu special of two steaks (mine sirloin his rib eye) plus a bottle of wine for £29. It exceeded our expectations - the service was incredibly quick and the quality and quantity of the food made it extremely good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and would happily eat here again! We had a lovely chat too with the owner before leaving - thank you for a lovely evening!

There is a large free car park right next to this place, and the view of the countryside, river and of course Abbey is fantastic even from the car park! You can walk alongside the river or sit on benches looking over the river or abbey. There is also a sculpture/monument to the historic geological discoveries made nearby. We easily walked past the abbey and over to the centre of Jedburgh and the castle jail museum from this car park, at most about half a mile.We came for breakfast almost as soon as it opened at 9am, and were welcomed by a very friendly staff member, with full table service. We ordered a full Scottish breakfast with toast and coffee/tea included, and french toast. We were very happy with the quality of our meals and the speed of service. The atmosphere was nice and felt pleasant. We found nothing to fault at all, and only wished we had room for some of the fantastic looking cakes on display! The pricing was about as youâd expect and felt about right for the quality, speed of service and location. Jedburgh is a lovely place to stop and take in some of Scottish history. One of my personal favourites is Mary Queen of Scots house. It is free to get into, the grounds are beautiful and it is so peaceful to sit a while. Thank you for your kind review of our Coffee House, so glad you enjoyed your Scottish breakfast and French toast. Cakes are yummy and all homemade in house. Will pass on your remarks to our staff.

Excellent roast beef with all the trimmings Sunday roast. The portion was huge but, as it was so delicious, I somehow managed to eat it all. Although not a huge menu, there's a very good choice including gluten free. You can watch your food being prepared through an open hatch into the busy kitchen. Friendly and efficient service. Tourists and locals enjoying the food and ambience. Easy parking and facilities very accessible

Visited with OH and didnât receive a particularly warm welcome. Mainly young female staff who will smile at a push, but devoid of any warmth. Limited vegetarian options - I had boiled eggs and soldiers. OH had a lamb sandwich. Oat milk available. Victoria Sponge was nice but very sweet. With 2 teas (need better teapots) and 2 lattes, bill came to just under £24. When paying it felt as though waitress was awaiting a tip. I wouldn't have returned but OH liked it so we visited again 3 days later. I had eggs and soldiers again (unbuttered today) and OH had a bacon and black pudding roll. With 2 teas (another leaky pot), 2 lattes and a generous slice of lovely gingerbread cake, bill came to just over £20. OH bought some beers from the brewery and was impressed with their service and choice. Clean toilets. Osprey footage in cafe. River walks nearby. Outside seating in walled courtyard. Play area for little ones. Lovely set up but staff really need to make more of an effort in making customers feel valued. A warm smile costs nothing. On both occasions it was fellow customers who made it memorable!

Having been turned away last night as they were fully booked, I was glad I had booked for tonight. Superb food in a friendly environment. Had not realised they did not have a licence but Co-op nearby let me get a couple if beers to take in. All 3 courses were great.

Visited with my 8 year old daughter and my wife for lunch. A great choice on the menu, lovely coffee and good food. They were busy for a Monday and this seems a popular place to eat as it has low prices and great food.

Dined here on Friday evening. The bar area was very swish and comfortable . The service was excellent. We went through to the dining room which was a bit of a let down, rather dated and not at all in keeping with the bar. We sat next to the back door which kept draughtily blowing open to give a view of staffs outdoor footwear! However again the service was great and the food superb, the venison was probably the best I have ever had! The thing that has actually made me deduct a star however was the awful 'Musac' which played the same few repetitive notes too loudly throughout the meal, I actually left without a pudding because it was going to give me a headache and I could no longer carry on a coherent conversation over it! However it was certainly good enough to warrant a return visit- just hope their sound system is broken!

We are here as part of a stay during a Borders Abbey Way walk. The place is very popular and fortunately we had booked ahead. The venue looks a little tired but the beer was well kept and the food well cooked. Choose from the menu based on your tastes as some of the dishes cater for larger/richer appetites and many of the guests were sharing desserts. We ate steak and chips and fish cakes and chips. Both of which were tasty and well portioned and good value for money. Service was friendly and welcoming. Dogs were welcome in the bar. The clientele appeared younger than some of the other restaurants in the town. There is also a pool table and a TV. As some of the reviews say, it is pub food but good at its craft and popular with locals and tourists.

Fabulous restaurant. Always delicious food and a lovely friendly welcome. Came with 2 friends and their 9 year old daughter for lunch. There is a full menu (changed daily) also a separate vegetarian menu, but the good news for our young guest was that thereâs a special menu for kids up to the age of 11, full of choices she loved! The options could be mixed and matched too, so itâs great! Been here many times, always a good experience! Recommend a visit if youâre in the area! Thank you Caddymann!
