Tedious morning around Horsham Town centre, so we decided on a whim to stop here for lunch. Friday in October around 12.30 (No Booking or Forward Planning).Parked-up (tricky) and asked for a Table - last available for 2 is in the bar area, Sir. It'll do fine.1 x Brie to share; 1 x Game Pie and 1 x Curry; 1 x Badgers Best, & 1 x Spritzer - 1 x happy Couple. Hot, fresh, tasty, good portions - spot-on.Service - terrific. Friendly, efficient, helpful and prompt - good combo !VERY good value-for-money.Been twice since and Fully Booked both times - Note to Self - Forward Plan.Quintessential English Country Pub

At The Red Deer you can expect to find delicious, fresh, seasonal French fare and great British pub classics, all cooked from scratch in our kitchens by our lovely chefs. Weâre proud to work with the best suppliers and source sustainably to serve dishes t
The overall ambience, decor & service was very good, the food was slightly above average, I wonder should more of the investment go on the plate instead of on the decor, it is also quite ironic that there is no consistency, check out the review 22nd october 'dont have the burger' overdone and dry, my review is if I could have found a good vet he could have brought my burger back to life, now to be fair it was edible, if you dont mind blood on your bun and plate, meat was of good quality, more chips would not go amiss for the price, I am of the opinion that a majority of the customers were on the 20% off, which gives the kitchen carte blanche to cut corners, we were not and felt that the portions were a bit stingy, I probably will return when shopping, but it wont be on my top 10 for visitingHi MaryThank you for taking the time to post your review.Love to discuss your comment further, please give a call on 01403 247000RegardsAbel

Took my family hear for a drink on a Sunday lunchtime, changes have been made to the garden since I last visited with the addition of the gazebo, it's fantastic. The garden looks great and is really well maintained, we loved it so much we can't wait to visit again.Even considering booking the pub next year for my 50th birthday celebration, although it's not too close to where we live, however did note the pub does B&B.We didn't eat this time, but will definately consider it next time. The car park is quite small, but there is parking along the lane.

Afternoon tea is without a doubt the most delicious English tradition. Every visitor to the beautiful Leonardslee House should expect to enjoy the very finest food, spectacular views and the ultimate tea experience. Afternoon tea is set within the drawing
We had afternoon tea at £40 per head (no alcohol): it is the high end cost wise. We both agreed the addition of seasonal savouries is nice.Finger sandwiches, which consisted of an egg, cucumber & cream cheese and a smoked trout (2 of 3 are very cheap ingredients). All were âmehâ (average) bar trout which was fab. A pity they donât offer extra sandwiches if you wanted them. Only a â3/4â for sandwiches.Lemon curd with (very good, but had better) scones was nice addition.Petit fours excellent as was rocky roads etc. This is where they claw back points!! Exceptional.Nice touch from staff regarding our celebration. Staff friendly, but at points, were not âavailableâ (as others note) to replenish tea.A costly, but overall worthwhile treat, though any more price wise and you would seriously think twice. The grounds/ lakes are brilliant and Horsham lucky to have this on our doorstep.Baby change available in ladies, but not in menâs...a bit annoying and silly when been refurbished throughout.Note that you canât use vehicle entrance marked ârestaurantâ from the main road (use main entrance instead). Leonardslee need to remove the sign as you have to turn right along a fast bit of the road after intercom voice tells you entrance not open!! Donât have sign then I say.Dear JoEd2005We appreciate your wonderful review immensely. We are proud to offer our guests an Afternoon tea experience that they can appreciate and enjoy and makes it all worth it when we receive reviews like yours, so thank you for sharing it with us.We hope to welcome you back as returning guests soon.Kind regards,The Leonardslee House team

The new Miller & Carter is great - good food - my lunch bite steak sandwich was cooked to perfection and exactly what I asked for, great menu, lovely staff and great service, very elegant and comfortable and in a great location BUT a single glass of wine at £9.20 is totally unacceptable and a big minus for a lovely lunch. The last time we were in the staff were indicating that lunch times were rarely busy and there was no need to book beforehand !!! Why are we not surprised ?! The other downside is that the restaurant does not cater for a traditional Sunday lunch roast which in the Horsham area appears to be a really popular meal out with local pubs with good chefs, of which there are quite a few, often booked well in advance. Thanks for taking the time to review us here at Miller & Carter Horsham.Firstly I'd like to thank you for your positive feedback and 4* review which is much appreciated. With regards to the wine pricing the glass you are referring too is is one of the higher end prices we serve and significantly more than a large glass of our house blend and would probably be more appropriate with one of our premium cuts rather to accompany something on our fantastically priced lunch set menu admittedly. Presumably you hadn't specifically asked for this particular wine so will address this review with my team and our upcoming meeting to ensure a repeat of issues of this nature are minimised going forwards. With regards to the roasts this is not something we have ever offered among our 118 restaurants but I'll be sure to pass on your comments to our marketing department. We do however have an extremely good value and well received Sunday Set Menu which we we serve all day from £27.95 for three courses. We hope that you do give us another opportunity to make up for the wine pricing mishap and allow us an opportunity to give you a flawless 5* experience upon your return.Kind RegardsDanny

Housed in a 16th Century building in the historic town of Horsham, Restaurant Tristan opened in 2008 and has been a firm favourite with local foodies ever since. Inside, original wooden beams contrast with contemporary style to create an intimate setting
This restaurant has just received a Michelin Star for the eighth year running. My son and his girlfriend took myself and my wife for our first visit to celebrate my birthday last Saturday. I was a bit worried because I have one or two alergies and I am probably a bit fussy anyway. I need not have worried. First of all the meet and greet was impressive, a taking of coats, escorted upstairs and handed over to others who took us to our table. The room is lovely, old timber-framed and comfortable. My son had been here several times before and we chose the six-course tasting menu. We took the option of having especially selected glasses of wine with each course. Before we ordered we were asked about dietary issues. I explained mine and also mentioned that I did not drink wine wine or cava. No problem, they were totally flexible and the chef will adjust the course for an individuals' issue or preference. Nothing was too much trouble. Now the meal. Every course was perfect with excellent in terms of presentation and taste. The sommelier (a highly knowledgeable wine professional who is an expert in every aspect of wine service and food and wine pairing) came to the table as each course was served and explained what wine he was serving and why. Each wine perfectly matched the food course; in my case, various red wines were selected just for me. My family had a combination of wines, red, white and rosé. I eat out a great deal, mainly abroad, but this was one of the finest meals and one of the best eating experiences I have ever had. Every one of the staff were charming and we left with full tummies and warm hearts. Thank you so much.
