We were staying at Devere Cranage estate and enjoyed dinner in the Tempus restaurant. They looked after us well and 5 yo enjoyed childrenâs menu activities. Food was decent quality but we had recently dined at Tortworth Court and some menu items were the same but not to the amazing standard at Tortworth. Pretzel bun burger was great. Childrenâs food really good - breath of fresh air to have roast chicken on offer after a week of sausage beans and chips! Puddings lovely. Friendly helpful staff.

Arriving early morning in Holmes Chapel Railway Station en route to an event near Congleton, with time in hand, I made the short walk to Cobbles for breakfast. A warm welcome from friendly staff, excellent scrambled eggs on toast and fine coffee - just the job !! I enjoyed it so much that I made time to visit again on my return trip 4 days later for afternoon coffee and a slice of superb coffee cake (and they remembered me !).A proper little gem with a regular local clientele which says it all !!

The Vicarage; Freehouse & Rooms is a 17th Century Grade II listed country pub & hotel - essentially a restaurant with rooms. We are foodie-hub with a locally sourced menu - everything is driven by the gardeners, foragers, farmers and suppliers of Cheshire
Extensive menu and description is extremely professional and enticing....You have to try the breakfast...if nothing else....wow.

We arrived early evening and were seated in a light and airy dining room beside the main pub. From the lengthy menu we chose and were delighted by the massive fish pie (14.95) with large pieces of salmon, haddock and prawns and scampi and chips (12.95). The steak baguette with skin on fries (9.50) was also good without being outstanding The warm triple chocolate brownie and ice cream (6.50) to finish was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.

Situated in the picturesque village of Twemlow Green The Yellow Broom is one of Cheshire's best known landmarks & treasured restaurant. Enjoying an idyllic, typically English setting this intriguing building is surrounded by lawns, beautiful secluded gard
We really enjoyed the good food and friendly, attentive service. All the food choices were very good quality and the presentation was of a high standard. However, we were very surprised that the prices on the menu did not include VAT, so the overall cost of the meal was an unpleasant surprise. In particular it meant that the Filet Mignon was nearly £40 which was disappointing for a relatively small piece of this special steak. The ribeye steak would be better value.Dear WestlowjackVery pleased that you enjoyed the food, ambience and your experience at The Yellow Broom. Our prices are all fully inclusive of VAT. Your Filet Mignon were charged at £29.95 as per our menu. However at the bottom of your final bill our system analysis the VAT content, not an additional charge as you have suggested in your review. We add nothing further to our listed prices, just a free mint humbug and of course a big smile.Look forward to welcoming you back soon for one of our excellent rib steaks.

As a birthday treat, my mum took me to the Fox and Hounds and we throughly enjoyed it. The food was amazing- high quality ingredients and really delicious. The lemon Eaton Mess was to die for! The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable regarding the menu and at the end of the meal, the Manager came to check that everything was good. Canât recommend this place highly enough, especially as it was also dog friendly! Iâd go every day just for the chips alone!
